Reseach And Development Of WebGIS Based On .NET And ArcGIS Server

With the development and large-scale application of Internet and Geographic Informatin technology,people's requirement on Geographic Information System has become more and more demanding. The storage and management of mass data, and also the implements of efficient spatial analysis algorithm are greatly promoting GIS applications to network.At present,people use geographic information in the scope and extent of deepening and expanding,and they provide a broad prospect for the development and application of WebGIS.Therefore,this paper focus on WebGIS and its realization in-depth research,and the primary content are as follows:1 Introduces the development situation of GIS and WebGIS at home and abroad,then summarizes and concludes the basic concepts, function and role of applications and prospects, classification and characteristics of WebGIS.2 Studies the five kinds of technology for developing the traditional WebGIS, and contrasts their respective advantages and disadvantages, then on this basis, analyzes the framework of the distributed WebGIS technology in-depth,at the same time, studies two kinds of structure for WebGIS based on J2EE and .NET .3 Studies the ArcGIS Server's framewok of ESRI, and introduces the structure of the framework,then analyzes the technology of distributed object access, the method of connecting GIS server and the server object management in detail.4 Selects ArcGIS Server as a development platform, and uses the geographic information of Hefei University of technology for a released target, then combines the technology of .Net framework and develops a small campus WebGIS system to realize the map view, attribute queries, and other basic functions.
