| The new high school biology curriculum reform in our country brings new opportunities for front-line teachers also poses serious challenges. The new curriculum implementation can be proceeded smoothly depends on the high quality of the biology teachers. Faced with the substantive and new requirements of new basic education curriculum reform on the quality of teachers, the Normal Universities who train new teachers for basic education should reform their training model, in order to seek helpful policy for adapting the training of new teachers in background of new curriculum reform.According to the basic education curriculum reform requirements on the quality of teachers, and combined with the structural model of the quality of teachers, the study established four specifications that a good biology teacher nowadays should have, including the ideological and moral qualities, knowledge and cultural qualities, abilities and skills, physical and psychological qualities. We used a questionnaire survey on 15 key or general high schools in Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Hainan provinces to investigate the status quo of biology teachers. It found that China's biology teachers generally have a high ideological and political consciousness and the concept of ethics, professional knowledge and basic teaching skills, and the positive attitude of the new curriculum. But it also found teachers in-service owed reasonable knowledge structure, particularly lack of education and professional knowledge and humanistic quality. Their teaching and research capacity, innovation capacity and the ability of biological experiments need to be upgraded. Almost all teachers have physical and mental pressure, and some of them lack of confidence in the teaching profession. Through the network, the study investigated the Bioscience in China's Normal Universities on their professional training objectives, training model, the academic structure, curriculum structure, curriculum choices and the timing of commencement. Some reform trends are found following by comparative analysis:1, meet the social needs, have a variety of training objectives and specifications; 2, break the academic year's boundary, implemented the flexible system; 3, get rid of a unified set, and build a variety of curriculum structure model; 4, focus on prominent local and school characteristics, have different teaching programs; 5, adapt to technology change and teachers' professionalism, constantly update curriculum content. Curriculum reform have made a breakthrough while at the same time we also discovered that Normal University Bioscience professional training objectives generally focus on theories of knowledge and skills of professional disciplines to the neglect of teacher education courses. Curriculum structure is less desirable, and the proportion of core curriculum courses, academic courses, teacher education is uncoordinated. The situation of value knowledge but disregard practice still exists, and courses are obsolete and overstaffed, not reflect enough new results of today's scientific development.According to the curriculum system setting principles of comprehensive, objectives, and overall optimization, combined with front-line teachers on curriculum-related advice, this article on China's Normal University of Bioscience Curriculum Reform made a number of recommendations:(1) Identify the school location, and optimize the training objectives and training mode; (2) Build the reasonable course system, coordinate the proportion and focus on integration; (3) Highlight the practical skills, strengthen the educational practice and curriculum reform of biological experiments; (4) Strengthen the teaching and research, activities and environmental programs building, create a good academic atmosphere and invisible campus culture. |
