With the rapid development of Internet and Geographic Information technology, people's requirement on Geographic Information System(GIS) has become more and more demanding.As a conjunction of Internet technology and GIS technology, WebGIS has broad prospect.Since WebGIS is based on network platform,it has changed the traditional GIS running mode,and makes itself a common instrument that is popular and promoted.It is necessary to deal with massive data in meteorological service and convert the traditional text file to a richer visualization means,the combination of WebGIS and meteorology can realize a rich visualization effect,and users can make better use of meteorological web.Therefore,the combination has a good application prospect.In this thesis,I focus on"meteorological service WebGIS based on.NET" and make an deep research,I implement a meteorological service based on.NET and ArcGIS Server technology.At first,I introduced the concept,technologic characteristics and related framework of WebGIS,then I introduced the system design that combined.NET and WebGIS.Following that I took Xiamen meteorological service system as an example,explained the principles and key technologies of this system,finally I gave the result and display of this system.The main content and contribution of this paper lies in:1) Achieving the function of enlarging and shrinking images:I take ASP.NET as the program framework of common language,make use of C# to achieve Web application,so as to realize better page representation.When displaying the satellite nephogram and related radar composite maps,users can choose animation shows,as well as enlarging and shrinking images.2) Achieving the function of laying typhoon forecasting product on maps:I take advantage of developing WebGIS systems based on ArcGIS,lay typhoon route information on maps,and realize the function of enlarging,shrinking and roaming according to users' demand. 3) Achieving the query function about the location and path of typhoon:in order to make users access the system more convenient,users can query specific typhoon information according to related conditions so as to improve the system's applicability.4) Improving the operating speed about this system:In order to reduce the pressure of the client requests to servers,I reduce the times that displaying maps from servers,thereby improving the operating speed about this system.
