With the development of the life sciences and technology, the demand of talents of biology is increasingly changing. And the model of talent education in biology is increased in many countries. Under the shortage of resources and education budget, how to foster excellent talent students for the adaptation of the demand from the development of science and society becomes the most important project for the managers and researchers working for higher education. On the basis of modern innovative theory, the fostering scale theory and the characteristics of fostering scheme for talented postgraduates in biology education, this study sums up the model of fostering innovative talented students in biology. After the survey about the postgraduate educational situation in biology, it also brings up principles for innovative talent training in biology and gives the first step to structure the framework for innovative talent education. This study will play a very important role both in theory and practice.This study consists of the following six chapters.The first chapter is the Introduction, including the origin of the subject, the purpose and meanings of the study, literature review, contents and methods, etc.The second chapter is about the development process of biology education in China.Chapter 3, the comparative study on the education schemes for postgraduates being the different major. In this chapter, it mainly discusses the fostering scheme of innovative talent majoring in microbiology or biochemistry and molecular biology in China. Some characteristics are summarized after the investigations. Chapter 4 is the survey on present situations of innovative talent education in biology. After the questionnaire and statistic analysis, a conclusion is made on the basic situations of postgraduates majoring in microbiology, biochemistry and molecular biology.Chapter 5 introduces the fostering framework of postgraduate education in two universities from United States of America and United Kingdom. It talks about the formation of relative majors and the set-up of curriculums.In the last chapter, it gives us the thought and framework of the fostering of innovative talent postgraduates in biology in China's higher education.
