The Construction On Plant Information Management System Of Heilongjiang Forestry Botanical Garden

It contains species protection, scientific researchment, popularization of science and tourism .At the same time,it relates to the development and commerce of plant resource. Botanical Garden plant information management system is a general plant information management platform. Through Virtual Reality Technology and rebuild Botanical Garden on computer, the system provides visual and intuitionistive management environment, manages the plant information of Botanical Garden, provides services for species protection, scientific researchment, popularization of science and produce management.The study selects trees of Forestry Botanical Garden in Heilongjiang province as study objects. This paper collected introduction data, the phenological data and living condition of the woody plant species, also took more than two thousands of pictures about 300 woody plant species, analyzed and summarized ornamental characters of the plants. By consulting many documents, collecting and putting in order the relevant information of different kinds of plants. The database of introduction, phenology and living conditions was built up by Access database .By using the Delphi programming designing, founded the "plant information management system of Forestry Botanical Garden in Heilongjiang province"The system is creative, representative, directly visual, convenience, economical, reasonable and easily extended .the system is friendly and can be operated easily. The user can search out the proper tree's relevant character and pictures conveniently and quickly by the key words of Chinese name and Latin name.With the development of digital Botanical Garden, Botanical Garden Plant Information Management System has been build up in the Botanical Garden in all parts of the country. With the construction of Forestry Botanical Garden Plant Information Management System, it can provide more helpful for plant information management of Botanical Garden in the future, and will also provide a reference for the construction of glacial zone Botanical Garden Information Management System.
