The Mt. Qixia, located in the north-east surburb in Nanjing, it covers about 800 hm and is located in north subtropic climate, and the natural vegetation is well preserved. The author collected 600. plant samples 1200 plantspecies through investigation to the flora in Mt. Qixia from December,2004 to April,2006. Also investigated typical forest commuties. Hereby present some suggestion on its vegetation resuming and forest form management. The main results are as follows:1. There are 589 species (including cultivated plants and subspecies), among which there are 500 species of wild vascular plants belonging to 342 g -enera in 108 families, 19 species of ferns belonging to 14 genera in 11 fa -milies, 4 species of gymnospermae plants belonging to 4 genera in 3 famil -ies and 477 species of angiospermae plants belonging to 324 genera in 94 families. In Mt. Qixia some taxa, including 6 species (including 1 subspecie -s) ie. Pteris vittata,Liroipe grammifolia, Abelmoschus sagittifolius,Merre-mia hederacea,Galium bungei var. punduanoide and Solidago virgaurea are reported as new records in Jiangsu province.2. The most family with the numbers of species in flora of Mt. Qixia is Compositae, next is Gramineae,Leguminosae and Rosaceae and the larger genera are Polygonum,Quercus,Lespedeza,Artemisia and Lysimachia.3. The analysis of the families distribution pattern demonstrates that pantr -opic families cover the largest proportion, but majority is herbage, vine, sh -rub, and arbor is very little, and there are subtropical and temperate plants which denstrates the origin of flora has tropical nature, but the analysis of the genera distribution pattern demonstrates tropical genera have definite proportion, but they don't compose the main body of vegetation, is secondary. North temperate genera cover larger proportion. Quercus,Tilia,Pinus arbor compose the main body of vegetation. So temperate nature of flora is more apparent and which are consistent with the geographical place of north subt -ropical borden and transitional character from subtropical to warm temperat -e.4. The peculiar flora composition in Mt. Qixia is poor. The area only ha-s five peculiar genus such as Brachystachyum,Fortunearia,Changium,Cu-nninghamia,Thyrocarpus.5. The similar coefficients of Mt. Qixia and Mt. Niushou,Mt. Mufu,Mt.
