The Research On Web Service Oriented WebGIS

The geographic information system comes through three steps: Geographic informationsystem, Geographic information science and Geographic information service. The main waysto supply Geographic information service is to use Web and Mobile technology. WebGIS mustbe a key point in GIS research field. Now each WebGIS is absolute, they can't access and transfer each other;most of theWebGIS was create only for use once, the can't be repeat to use;in addition, the coast todispose, update, maintenance is high.Web service is core of the next distributed system. It will helpful for the data andfunction's share and mutual operation, When use the Web service in WebGIS.Base on the study of WebGIS, The article point out the WebGIS's shortage. Put forwardto use Web service technology to create WebGIS for web services, in the way it can solve theWebGIS problem in developing and sharing. It also study the problem in combine Webservice to WebGIS, and put forward the way to resolve the problem, in addition, the system ofthe new WebGIS is also be put forward.In the last under the supporting of ArcGIS Server, using C# and Asp.NET technologycreate a Web services register center and a test system for WebGIS's web services.
