The activity and zymogram of EST, MDH, AMY, ADH, CAT was studied in five Acarus and Cheyletus eruditus and Panonychus citri treated in different ways by means of polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The results showed that samples homogenized in 0.01M phosphate buffer, pH7.4 and with 1:10 in concentration with the homogenate could lead to the optimal zymogram, which was slightly influenced by huger. The zymogram similarities of morphologically similar species verified close evolutionary relationships among those species. Samples in various develop-menttal stages shared most zymogram except several distinctive bands, which suggested the feasibility of the classification of Acarus with larva. There are not obvious differences among Acari of different districts.
