As is known to all, the international competition is talents competition in the final analysis, which makes education at a quite important position. At present, with the increasing internationalization of higher education, teaching reformation is also imperative. Because physics is a leader in the history and it has the interdisciplinary nature of permeability and coordination, the significance of its teaching reformation and textbook construction should not be ignored. Obviously, the reformation of engineering university physics is not only one of the main reformations of physics teaching in the 21st century, but also the demand of the internationalization of higher education.This paper bases on my supervisor's research topic——the study of comparison between Chinese and foreign university physics textbooks during bilingual teaching, which is organized by the college physics teaching commission of the education ministry. First, we set an example of the implementation of bilingual physics teaching in Jilin University briefly, including the preparation the process of teaching, as well as teaching evaluation. We'll discuss the present situation of university physics textbooks in our land and will do detailed study of comparison between some famous overseas textbooks we selected and domestic ones. After that we will come to some advice for the selection of physics textbooks and provide some valuable guidance for writing new textbooks. Generally speaking, the following four aspects have been done in this paper:Firstly, we set an example of the implementation of bilingual teaching in Jilin University. And we analyzed the status of bilingual education from the aspects of teaching goal, materials selection and teaching process. Through the analysis, it is found there are still major problems in textbook selection and other process during current bilingual teaching.Secondly, we found that there are about three hundred sets of university physics textbooks and we mainly analyzed several sets of textbooks, which are very representative, popular with students and most distinctive. And a detailed description of the statistical comparison among these textbooks was made, including the content of each material system, the layout style and the concept. By comparison, the domestic materials most cover"basic requirements". But when it comes to the writing ideas and writing style, we can say that all flowers bloom together.Thirdly, we study the outstanding original foreign college physics textbooks introduced by China Machine Press, and the achievements of the project about physics teaching reformation in California Institute of Technology. The contents, language style and layout characteristics of typical foreign physics textbooks were studied.Fourthly, we selected the most representative textbooks at home and abroad. We did our more detailed comparative study from the content system, the share of each part of the space, the number of examples and exercises, the selection of content and exercises in areas.Through the above analysis, the author summarized the differences between Chinese and foreign physics textbooks and made my own humble opinion for the construction of university physics textbooks. We should increase modern contents to cultivate innovative talents. We should make our textbooks more interesting and funny to attract our students. Reducing the degree of difficulty might be a good way to build a student's self-confidence. We may pay more attention to the method of teaching than the study of knowledge itself. And teaching reformation should keep pace with the times, and so on. In this paper, we also provided a feasible reference on the choice of textbooks during the bilingual teaching of physics. According to the policy of "foreign things serve", we hope that the essence of foreign education will be absorbed and we will establish suitable new physics textbooks for higher engineering college.
