Research On The Construction Of News Text From The Perspective Of Discourse

Discourse studies since post-structuralism,especially Foucault’s discourse theory based on the French approach,have achieved the dissolution of traditional transcendental philosophy with its unique conceptual system and way of thinking,and have provided new research perspectives for various disciplines.As far as news is concerned,it provides new ideas for thinking about the discourse structure of news texts.News is likened to a historical recorder.As a kind of historical record,Foucault’s so-called archive form is the best description of the characteristics of news.From the perspective of archaeology,news text can be regarded as a historical text with an archive form.It is constructed by the author function of the news text,the statement practice of the news text,and the consistency and regulation of the text order,and at the same time,it forms the interior of the text The meaning of production and operation;starting from the genealogy of discourse and power,the construction of news text is restricted by the external knowledge structure and social system.Foucault’s discourse theory highlights the symbiotic relationship between discourse and power knowledge,and the meaning of news text is the construction of power discourse.As an expression of truth,media discourse practice restricts and regulates people’s behavior,and media power regenerates from it.To examine news texts through Foucault’s discourse theory,there are four observation angles:the author of the news text,the statement of the news text,the restraint of the news text,and the audience of the news text.Among them,The internal research part of the news text revolves around the news text author and the practice of the news text statement.The author function of news text is mainly to discuss the position of news author and its subject function,study the role of the news author subject in modern news text writing and the function in the discourse formation;and then reflect on the development of contemporary media technology,the news author how to confirm the identity and how to realize the problem of reconstruction.On the one hand,the practice of news text statement uses Foucault’s archaeology to explain the inherent possibility conditions of news text ideographic practice;on the other hand,it uses the analysis of the concept of "statement" in Foucault’s knowledge archaeology to discuss news text statement function and text statement strategy,and propose the two aspects of the regulation and consistency of the news text order.The external research part of news text focuses on the discourse restraint of news text and the audience interpretation of news text.The discourse regulation of news text mainly uses Foucault’s power genealogy to explain the relationship between news text construction and power discourse,revealing the regulation of the construction of news text by external knowledge power and ideology.The practice of news discourse exists in all social practices,and the hidden power scattered in all corners of society not only has an effect on the practice of news discourse,but also has a potential disciplinary influence on the behavior of the subject "human".The audience interpretation of news text is a discussion of the audience reading,interpretation mechanism and discourse generation of news text.Audience reading is the basis for the self-expanding of the meaning of the text.The two-way interpretation mechanism of the audience reflects the relationship between the audience and the discourse of knowledge,and the generation of news discourse is the result of the internal and external interactions of the text.The interpretation and derivation of meaning lies in the interpretation of the audience.It not only organizes the construction of meaning,but also influences the generation of discourse.
