Michel Foucualt（1926-1984）is following with the most important philosphierafter Jean Paul Sartre in France since the end of World War II. Foucault hascreated a broad impact on different disciplines fields which beyond of the limits ofphilosophy, suchassociology, li t e r a t u r e, p s y c h o l o g y,linguistics,political science and so on. From the late of the1980’s to the ealy of the1990’s,the thought of Foucault has been introduced to China and been heated up inseveral acdemic fields up to now. The preveiling of discourse analysis incommunication field just showed the influece of Foucault. Discourse analysisincludes a series of different methods and Foucault’s Discourse thought is the oneof important original theory which make significance to anaylising the socialdiscourse praticse within macroscopic vision. otherwise the development ofdifferent mothods of discourse analysis is imblance. Writer views the philosophyCopernicus Revolution of Linguistic Turn which has had a far-reaching infulenceon social siences,the source of discourse analysis can trace back to Analyticphilosophy and Continental Philosophy which are the common bases of thedifferent discourse analysis mothods. We will find that most methods popoular incommunication fields originate from Analytic philosophy,at the other side,theimpact of Continental Philosophy is less more.Especially, Lacking of originality inmethods limits the acdamic perspective as most ones which influnced byContinental Philosophy are absorded from lingustic fields. Therefor,wirter try totransfrom the abstract and macro-theory of Foucault to operable approaches as toi m p r o v e t h e b a l a n c e d e v e l o p m e n t o fdiscourse analysis in communication field.Foucault’s influence on communication field is not only showed on the level ofmethods,but also the theoretical stystem which connected with communciation fields. Close attention was paid to Foucault’s theories of Power and Discourse and thepapers relating to these topics are so much,but the common problems showing asmis-understanding and undue theoretical application.
