| The e-commerce upsurge caused by the increase popularity of the Internet and the rise of people’s demand for the Internet make the online shopping is no longer a rare behavior,and it has gradually become a normal part of people’s daily life.At the same time,China’s aging population is characterized by large population and rapid growth,which has a profound impact on the development of China’s economic and social and various industries,including e-commerce.With the deepening of the demand and use degree of the Internet by the elderly users,the scale of the elderly "online shoppers" is constantly expanding,and their consumption capacity is constantly improving,making the elderly users a force that cannot be ignored among the online shopping population.Due to the physiological,psychological and behavior characteristics between the older users and the young man has a certain difference,usability problems encountered in the process of using shopping website are different from young people,and shopping website interface design usability is a key factor that affect older users’ online purchase behaviors,which needs to fully consider for web designers and operators,therefore,research on shopping website interfaces design considering the characteristics of elderly users is especially important.Taking elderly users and shopping website interfaces design of traditional online devices as the research object,this paper analyzes the usability studies problems of shopping website interfaces design considering the characteristics of elderly users.With regard to the limitations in the existing research,the following five aspects of research work are mainly conducted:(1)Online shopping usability requirements survey of elderly users and interface key design elements extraction.According to observation and interview method,the actual usage of shopping website and first-hand information of interface operation experience of elderly users were obtained,and the typical behavior characteristics and interface design usability requirements of online shopping for elderly users were extracted.Based on task analysis,confirmed the the main wegsite interfaces of online shopping for older users,based on HIEs deconstruction method to deconstruct the main interfaces,on this basis,with the help of eye tracking technology to get older users’ eye movemens experimental data in the process of browsing the main interfaces,combined with the interview after the experiment,determine the key design elements of the shopping’ website’s main interfaces.(2)Shopping website interfaces design usability evaluation method considering the characteristics of older users.Based on the research results of shopping website interface design usability demand for older users,design the shopping website interface design usability evaluation questionnaire for older users.Select the representative main interfaces with the difference on the key design elements,using the combination of subjective and objective evaluation method with usability evaluation questionnaire,eye-tracking and electroencephalogram(EEG)technology,conduct the shopping website interface design usability evaluation experiment for older users,analyzes the differences of subjective usability evaluation under the different types of interface design for the older users,and the differences of eye-movement and brain electrical indicators under the different usability levels of interface design,and determine the eye-movement and brain electrical indicators that can evaluate shopping website interface design usability for older users.(3)Research on the relationship between category navigation area design elements in the homepage interface and usability.Based on the key design elements extraction results of the homepage interface,combined with the expert interview,determine the design elements and their level of category navigation area,and build design prototype.Combined with the subjective usability evaluation questionnaire,eye-tracking and EEG technology,usability evaluation experiment of the category navigation area design prototype has carried out.The results show that the dynamic effects of secondary navigation category label has significant influence on the subjective usability evaluation,the average pupil diameter,the relative power of Gamma waves at electrode points in central lobe,parietal lobe and occipital lobe,the relative power of Theta waves at electrode points in central-frontal lobe,and the behavior performance of elderly subjects;The font dynamic form of secondary navigation category label has significant influence on the subjective usability evaluation and the relative power of Beta waves at the electrode points in parafrontals lobe and temporal lobe of the elderly subjects;The font dynamic form of third-level navigation classification label has significant influence on the subjective usability evaluation,the average saccade velocity,the relative power of Beta wave at electrode points in parafrontals lobe and temporal lobe,and the behavior performance of elderly subjects.(4)Research on the relationship between commodity screening area design elements in the listing page interface and usability.Based on the key design elements extraction results of the listing interface,combined with the expert interview,determine the design elements and their level of commodity screening area,and build design prototype.Combined with the subjective usability evaluation questionnaire,eye-tracking and EEG technology,usability evaluation experiment of the commodity screening area design prototype has carried out.The results show that the label text dynamic form has influence on the subjective usability evaluation,the relative power of Beta waves at electrode points in central lobe and temporal lobe,and the behavior performance of elderly subjects;The brand presentation style has significant influence on the subjective usability evaluation,the relative power of Gamma waves at electrode points in parietal lobe and occipital lobe,the relative power of Theta waves at electrode points in central lobe,and the behavioral performance of elderly subjects;The interaction mode of screening conditions has significant influence on the subjective usability evaluation,the fixation counts,the average saccade velocity,the relative power of Beta waves at electrode points in parafrontal lobe and temporal lobe,and the behavior performance of elderly subjects.(5)Research on the relationship between commodity purchase information area design elements in the listing page interface and usability.Based on the key design elements extraction results of the detail page,combined with the expert interview,determine design elements and their level of commodity purchase information area,and build design prototype.Combined with the subjective usability evaluation questionnaire,eye-tracking and EEG technology,usability evaluation experiment of the commodity purchase information area design prototype has carried out.The results show that the detail images auxiliary display style has significant influence on the subjective usability evaluation,the relative power of Gamma waves at electrode poins incentral-frontal lobe and occipital lobe,the relative power of Theta waves at electrode poinst in central-parietal lobe of elderly subjects;The small images browsing mode has significant influence on the subjective usability evaluation,the saccade counts,the blink counts,the relative power of Beta waves at electrode points in parafrontals lobe and temporal lobe,and the behavioral performance of elderly subjects;The interactive mode of commodity color display has significant influence on the subjective usability evaluation,saccade counts,the blink counts,the relative power of Beta waves at electrode points in parafrontals lobe,and the behavioral performance of elderly subjects;.The size choice style has significant influence on the subjective usability evaluation,saccade counts,the blink counts,the relative power of Beta waves at electrode points in temporal lobe,and the behavioral performance of the elderly subjects.The research results of this paper cannot only provide a usability evaluation method for shopping website for elderly users and the common shopping website that takes into account the features of elderly users,as well as provide a decision-making basis for the design of interface functional areas.It is a beneficial supplement to the theoretical method of the design of elderly products in the field of human factors engineering. |
