Study On Spatiotemporal Pattern Evolution,Influence Mechanism And Promotion Path Of Urban Resilience In China

In the context of global urbanization,various uncertain risks have become important obstacles restricting the sustainable development of cities,and how to improve the ability of cities to resist risk disturbances and response capabilities has become a new topic that needs to be studied in current geography and related disciplines.Research on the measurement of urban resilience can provide a reference for the improvement of urban resilience in China.Based on the analysis of concept connotation,theory,and mechanism of urban resilience,this paper proposes a conceptual framework for urban internal resilience,and constructs a comprehensive evaluation system of urban resilience in China,establishes the comprehensive measurement model and subsystem measurement model based on the multi-dimensional resilience of economy,society,institution,ecology and infrastructure,and analyzes the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics and influence mechanism of urban resilience in China from 2000 to 2018.According to the differences of different cities,this paper puts forward the corresponding promotion strategies and development models of differentiated resilient cities,which can provide reference for relevant research in the future.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The overall urban resilience level in China from 2000 to 2018 shows a slowly rising and gradually balanced evolution trend,from 0.2772 in 2000 to 0.2877 in 2010 and0.3113 in 2018.From the perspective of five different dimensions,the urban ecological and institutional resilience index is relatively higher,the economic and social resilience index is lower and relatively scattered,and the infrastructure resilience index is the lowest;During the study period,the social and ecological resilience showed a downward trend,which further restricted the improvement of urban resilience.(2)From the perspective of different resilience levels,China's urban resilience is generally in the state of medium resilience,with low resilience in the majority and high resilience in a relatively small group,which is an obvious characteristic of “grading differentiation”.In addition,the cities of high resilience grade in China are mainly concentrated and contiguous with large cities as the center,while the cities of low resilience are distributed in the central and western regions and some non-provincial capitals in the eastern,which have obvious regional differences.(3)From the different regions,the average resilience index in China's eastern,central and western are 0.3285,0.2668 and 0.2574 respectively,showing the distribution characteristics of “East-Central-West” gradient decline;in the different sizes,the urban resilience index shows the structural characteristics of “Super city – Mega city-Large city-Medium city-Small city” scale decline;in the different functional types,the urban resilience index shows the decreasing trend of “Comprehensive city-Tourism city-Industrial City-Resource-based city-Other cities” in turn.(4)In recent 20 years,the obstacle factors that affect the resilience of Chinese cities generally change from “economy-infrastructure” to “society-institution-environment”.Then,the influence degree(q value)of each influence factor on China's urban resilience index is detected by using the factor detector of Geodetector.The economic development(economic power)and institutional organization(institutional power)from 2000 to 2018 have made the greatest contribution to the spatial differentiation of China's urban resilience,followed by the infrastructure(engineering power)and social security(social power),and environment(ecological power)has a relatively small impact.In the three major regions,the influence of “economy-society-institution” category factors in the eastern region have gradually strengthened on the spatial differentiation of urban resilience;the influence action of “economy-society-infrastructure” category factors in the central region has a greater impact on the spatial differentiation of urban resilience;the influence action of “economy-society-infrastructure” category with other factors in the western region has a greater impact on the spatial differentiation of urban resilience.(5)Urban resilience is a new idea to deal with urban uncertain risks,and,the improvement of China's urban resilience in the future should focus on the resilience of various subsystems,including the infrastructure security,the environment effectiveness,the economic diversification,the social inclusive resilience,and the institution flexibility.In terms of the urban resilience differences in different regions,this paper puts forward the corresponding differentiated development model of resilient cities.On the basis of absorbing the construction experience of resilient cities at home and abroad,this paper proposes suggestions for China's urban resilience construction,which could provide reference for improving the level of security,resilience and sustainable development on Chinese future cities.
