A meta-analytic research approach was used to quantifiably summarize the results of several independent studies that measured and examined the relationships of personality factors based on the Five Factor Model with career indecision and career indecisiveness. Data from 29 studies with 35 independent samples from a total of 10 countries were analyzed with the purpose of providing more accurate, consistent, and generalizable results for career counselor practice and future research. The results of this study revealed numerous statistically significant relationships of personality factors with career indecision and indecisiveness. This study has implications for career counselors and their use of interventions to facilitate crucial decisions about careers. Each outcome of this study is explained and examined in regard to the practice and research aspects of the career counseling field.
