It is important for college students to choose their own careers.However,with the development of education reform,more and more college students are faced with the problem of finding a job.At present,many college students are in a state that can not make professional decisions,called career indecision.In this process,the individual will often feel anxious,hesitant,which called career decision indecisiveness.Therefore,it is of great significance to understand the basic situation and influencing factors of the university students’ career decision indecisiveness.However,there is only a few theoretical researches about career decision indecisiveness.Therefore,based on the previous studies,this study selects four variables,which are self-support personality,vocational self-concept,vocational identity and social support,to explore their impacts on career decision indecisiveness.This study surveyed 649 college students with Self-Supporting Personality Scale for Adolescent Students,College Students’ Vocational Self-Concept Questionnaire,Vocational Identity Scale,Perceived Social Support Scale and the sub-scale of Career Factors Inventory to explore vocational self-concept,vocational identity,social support formed paralleled mediation,vocational identity vocational self-concept,social support and vocational self-concept formed chained mediation between self-support personality and career decision indecisiveness.By using the statistical software of SPSS17.0,AMOS17.0 and IMPLUS7.0 to carry on the correlation analysis,the difference test,the structure equation model and the intermediary effect test,finally the study obtains several conclusions as following:1.There were significant differences in the two demographic variables of the class and the grade of emotional emotional career indecisiveness and self-supporting personality;there were significant differences in the vocational self-concept in the professional,family location,whether it was the only child and grade four variables;there were significant differences in vocational identity had been used as a class,whether the family was located,whether the only child and grade;there were significant differences in gender,profession,family location,whether was only child and grade.2.Self-supporting personality,vocational self-concept,vocational identity and social support,any two variables showed a symbiotic change;emotional career indecisiveness and any one of self-supporting personality,vocational self-concept,vocational identity,social support,showed a shift in the relationship.3.Self-supporting personality was a negative predictor of emotional career indecisiveness,of which the individual independence and interpersonal independence could significantly predict emotional career indecisiveness negatively.3.Self-supporting personality indirectly predicts emotional career indecisiveness through vocational self-concept.4.The mediating effect of vocational self-concept was significant between self-supporting personality and emotional career indecisiveness.5.The chain mediating effect of vocational identity,vocational self-concept between self-supporting personality and emotional career indecisiveness was significant.6.The chain mediating effect of social support,vocational self-concept between self-supporting personality and emotional career indecisiveness was significant.7.The influence of vocational identity on vocational self-concept was greater than social support on vocational self-concept.Through a series of analysis and building structural equation model,the study found that:1.Self-supporting personality indirectly predicted emotional career indecisiveness through vocational self-concept;2.Self-supporting personality could predict emotional career indecisiveness indirectly through the chain mediation of vocational identity and vocational self-concept;3.Self-supporting personality also could predicted indirectly emotional career indecisiveness through the chain mediation of social support and vocational self-concept;4.The predictive power of to vocational self-concept to emotional career indecisiveness was greater than that of social support. |
