An emergency software system for quick response

The purpose of the "An Emergency Software System for Quick Response" is to effectively operate the whole emergency system so that any incident or accident can be dealt with in a quick response and limited delay. The system is a computer based system so that we can achieve speed as well as accuracy in police work. At present the processes in the emergency system are manual. Some of the processes are mentioned below:;Whenever an incident occurs involving only a policeman or an informer, information about the incident goes to different police stations. Hence, there is no problem in communication and of course action. It is very difficult to track down the vehicle available and its position. It is a paper based system, so more time is needed to find out pertinent information. In spite of that, the information cannot be shared on a regular basis. The same problem is happening with tracking the special vehicle available at a different police station. When the incident occurs the policemen are not getting proper information about the availability of the special vehicles and machines.;The current manual system does not have a specific knowledge about the locations and the problems for going there. If an incident occurs sometimes the police follow a long route or busy traffic route, hence the delay in handling the case.;The central administration that controls every police station has less technical machines to get updated information.;To override the above problems occurring due to a manual system a computer based system will be designed that will overcome the manual delay as well as making the whole system efficient. The following users will be using the system: •Police operating in different parts of the city. •Police Administrators for tracking the operation of the incidents. •Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to update information about the ambulance vehicle availability. •Fire Department for information about the current and future requirements and non emergency personnel for informing about the incidents and happenings.;The system will be placed at various police booths where the operator will work on the system 24x7 to provide the updated information to other police. Apart from that the system will be used at an administrative level for tracking the activities at various police stations. The following factors will be helpful to the economics of the whole system:;We will use the technology that will be platform independent and will have little or no setup cost. The user interface for this system will be so simple that the time of training required will be minimal. The system will use less hardware and give better output.
