Urban radio and TV media stands as an essential subsystem of urban modern communication system.Acting as mouthpiece of local party and government,the media also exists to meet urban citizens' demands spiritually and culturally,together with urban image promotion.Based on analysis on space dynamic mechanism,this article eyes on real problems confronted with urban radio and TV media located in Yangtze River Delta from the perspective of space.It will have analysis from three fields,namely scale of the first space's influence on channels,demand of the second space's influence on contents and network information space's influence on functions and framework of media.Besides,researches on its typical cases,practice and potential future development are also included.From the perspective of space,development of mass media is a combination of multi-level dynamic interaction and is existed among spatial dynamics of multiple dimensions.While in the first space of matter,urbanization drives extension of urban space and mass gathering of multi dimension,which is beneficial to infrastructure development and media related industry development.And this brings mass media channel resources.In the second space featuring spirit and culture,mass media is committed to spiritual production,playing a significant role in building the second space by ways of creating public space and rebuilding the imaginary community.The real demand of building a spiritual and cultural space has a direct link with mass media contents.In the new space featuring information network,internet makes communication available come true in the another interface of city,help people to reshape multi-level social relations.Thanks to technology development,the spatial connection among people,together with spatial connection between people and city,has been reestablished.Therefore,framework of mass media has been transferred,with platform migrated.In terms of the dimension of the first space,population,resources and industry get together in a specified space during urbanization,which produces scale economy and prompts expansion of media channel space.Community with high density reduces unit cost of radio and TV infrastructure construction and enables sophisticated communication network to take the lead in popularizing in urban regions.Benefiting from vigorous population movement in urbanization regions,wireless transmission channel of radio and TV unleashes its power in migration advantage.And thus,traffic radio and mobile TV,orienting at people on the move,becomes new growth point of urban radio and TV media.To urban radio and TV,channel expansion and openness bring Spillover Effect on one hand;on the other.hand,it means fierce market competition when facing influential media of the same industry and internet giants of other industries.As information technology moves forward,the pure scale driving force will be stuck in slow development;while innovation will become the new driving force of channel expansion.To urban radio and TV media,channel resources will be liberated from monopoly to openness,scarcity to excess.When it comes to the dimension of the second space,Chinese cities currently call for public opinion space in a rational and constructive ways,together with social identity space in an inclusive and friendly way.Such demand has a saying on contents of radio and TV and promotes it to make innovations.Urban radio and TV creates a virtual urban communication area via radio wave and screen,sets topics and offers advice on the basis of reflecting public opinions and attracts more people to take part in urban management as well,which accelerates development of civil society.Functions of urban radio and TV include monitoring local environment,communicating with local people,spreading regional culture,extends urban memory,carrying forward urban spirit.In light of this,it becomes a crucial intermediary for culture externalization and concretization.The self-produced program of urban TV station has long been a platform for expression of public opinions and political participation.Family life,daily etiquette and custom shown on screen offers help to rebuild social identity.And urban radio and TV should remain focused on such contents.From perspective of a new space,a brand new dimension,urban space has been greatly changed by internet,based on which,business form and organizational structure of urban radio and TV media are under revolution accordingly,so does its role as content producer and channel operator.Transformation of radio and TV brings along with it audio and visual new media business,audio website,featuring community characteristics,in particular.Audio website has become an important platform in linking people,thanks to advanced technology.The transformation extends and magnifies the role of radio and TV in promoting social communication.It also integrates its unique advantages such as spreading via socialized internet and democratic production subjects.Urban radio and TV is undergoing transformation into comprehensive platform,which not only widens channels of communication of traditional programs' contents,but also gives full play to traditional media's advantage in integrating information.Urban radio and TV media will become a necessary power in stimulating construction of smart cities,by integrating urban news,urban service and urban consumption and with support of big data,Internet of Things and cloud computing.On the basis of analysis on dynamic effect of the "three space" mentioned above,the article believes that the expansion driving force of the first space will change from scale to innovation,and media channel will liberate from monopoly into excess.Urban radio and TV needs to improve capability in smart utilizing channels and concentrate on cutting channel cost.It strives to realize channel sharing and maximize content value,through ways of regional resource integration,media cooperation,on-line and off-line channel integration.In the second space,the content production driven by urban society construction demand and spiritual culture demand will stay still.Urban radio and TV remains an important power in building urban public space and social identity.It is necessary to have an in-depth understanding of city and capture new demands brought by urbanization,because it will enlighten research and development of new programs of different types of radio and television.Likewise,efforts are also made to have an in-depth exploration of community and implement super localization strategy,which could win market favorite with diversified small but beautiful goods.In information network space,strong media nature of internet and space connection capability will force urban radio and TV media to have integration and adjustment.Thanks to in-depth integration of radio and TV and the new media,production factor such as programs,technology,platform and talents tend to share information gradually.Thanks to diversification strategy adopted by exploration platform,urban radio and TV is stimulated to realize operation regardless of location,media and industry.
