In the process of industrialization,manufacturing is an important pillar industry that promotes economic growth and development,whose competitiveness directly affects the position and role of a country or region in the world economic landscape.Beverage manufacturing is one of the 31 categories in China's manufacturing industry,which is an important part of China's food industry.According to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China,in 2016,the number of enterprises above certain size in China's beverage manufacturing industry was 6,962;the industrial sales value(current price)was 19,034.28 billion yuan,increased by 7.99% over 2015;the total assets were 167.6153 billion yuan,increased by 7.45% over 2015;prime operating revenuereached 1,853.0303 billion yuan,increasd by 6.70% over 2015;total amount of profits was 190.852 billion yuan,increased by 6.05% over 2015.At the same time,as the beverage manufacturing industry is developing rapidly,the country attaches great importance to the healthy development of the industry in terms of policies: The "Guidance Catalog for Industrial Structure Adjustment"(revised in 2013)issued by the National Development and Reform Commission aimsto encourage "high value-added beverages Development of production and processing raw material base construction;comprehensive development and utilization of fruit pomace,tea pomace,etc.;In 2016,the National Health and Family Planning Commission released the " Thirteenth Five-Year Plan for Food Safety Standards and Monitoring and Evaluation(2016-2020)" In January 2017,the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued “Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Healthy Development of the Food Industry”.In March 2017,the General Administration of Food and Drug Administration issued “Several Provisions on Establishing Food Safety Traceability Systems for Food Production and Operation Enterprises " These policiesand regulations make a big influence on the stable development of China's beverage manufacturing industry.However,the contradictions behind the rapid development of the industry also exist,such as the number of beverage manufacturing companies which are too many;a disproportionate scale of enterprises;a scattered industrial distribution;problems of product quality and safety;insufficient investment in industrial research and development;and unbalanced regional development.Under this background,the research will focus on the growth path of total factor productivity of China's beverage manufacturing industry and analyze its key influencing factors,so as to increase its economic growth capacity,and promote its development and prosperity effectively,which are the key issues.Since the 1970 s,in the course of the development of theory concerning economic growth,economists generally believe that TFP is an important index to measure the sustainable growth of economy,and it can also estimate the technological progress and technical efficiency that contribute to economic growth.At present,it is more scientific to choose the TFP to analyze the economic development status of China's beverage manufacturing industry,which is consistent with the theoretical evaluation of the current academic circles.The total factor productivity calculation of China beverage manufacturing industry,not only can reflect the industry's economic growth,but also can reveal the beverage manufacturing industry technological progress and technical efficiency in the real economy contribution rate,development mechanism to deeply excavate the beverage manufacturing industry,so the calculated results more in line with the actual situation in the development of beverage manufacturing industry.Based on the theoretical review and literature review,this paper conducts empirical research from macro and micro angles on Chinese beverage manufacturing industry TFP growth situation,and measure the technological progress and technical efficiency decomposition variable growth rate.Using the macro and micro two sets of data to measure the variable growth rates of total factor productivity,technological progress and technology the efficiency,in order to present economic growth in a more comprehensive and detailed reflection of Chinese beverage manufacturing industry.First,with the method of data envelopment analysis,this research measures the total factor productivity and decomposition of the beverage manufacturing industry in 30 regions of China from 2000 to 2015.At the same time,it measured the total factor productivity and decomposition of 24 listed companies in the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2001 to 2015.Second,this paper use static panel fixed effect model and dynamic panel model(differential GMM two step method)to test whether the total factor productivity growth rate of beverage manufacturing has convergence characteristics.Third,it compared data changes of the total factor productivity and decomposition of the listed companies at the micro-level with its changes at the macro level.Finally,the differential GMM and system GMM methods were used to empirically study the influencing factors of total factor productivity in China's beverage manufacturing industry.The main conclusions are as follows:First,through the analysis of data at the macro-level on the total factor productivity level and decomposition of the total factor productivity of the beverage manufacturing industry in China from 2000 to 2015,it can be known that(1)technological progress is the main driving force for improving the total factor productivity of China's beverage manufacturing industry,among which pure technological efficiency is the main factor in improving technological efficiency.(2)from the total factor productivity level and decomposition of the beverage manufacturing industry in each region,we can see that technological advances and efficiency have combined to affect the growth of total factor productivity.(3)the total factor productivity growth in the beverage manufacturing industry in China and the three regions of the East,Central and West has shown an inverted “U" type-wise,among which the level of total factor productivity in the middle and western regions is significantly higher than the national average,but the level in the East is significantly lower than the national average.The growth of total factor productivity in the beverage manufacturing industry in the eastern and western regions is driven by improved technological advance and efficiency together.However,its only driving force for growth in the central region is technological advance,but the deterioration in technological efficiency has produced a certain degree of dragging effect.Second,the absolute convergence characteristics of total factor productivity growth in the beverage manufacturing industry in China and the three regions of the East,Central and West regions are not obvious,but there is a significant convergence of conditions,indicating that the gap in productivity growth of beverage manufacturing industry between the entire country and the three regions is continuously narrowing.Third,through the analysis of data at the micro-level on the total factor productivity level and decomposition of listed companies in China's beverage manufacturing industry from 2001 to 2015,it can be known as followed:(1)technological progress is the main driving force for its improvement because technological progress and efficiency have combined to affect the growth in its productivity and the increase in pure technological and scale efficiency will also promote its technological efficiency;(2)the growth rate of its total factor productivity and the listed company of the three regions of the East,Central and West regions has shown an inverted “U” type-wise.The total factor productivity level of the listed company of the beverage manufacturing industry in the central and western regions is significantly higher than the national average,but its level of the listed company in the eastern region is significantly lower than the national average.The total factor productivity growth of listed companies of the beverage manufacturing industry in the western region is jointly promoted by technological progress and efficiency,but its growth in the eastern and central regions is only driven by technological progress.Fourth,according to the comparison of the macro-data(Chinese beverage manufacturing industry from the year of 2001-2015)and micro-data(24 listed companies in the beverage manufacturing industry from the year of 2001-2015)found that:(1)most of the data in the listed companies lower than the national average level,except that the beverage manufacturing industry listed companies still have high TFP performance for many enterprises,beverage manufacturing industry listed companies between individual underperforming businesses are likely to affect the overall performance of listed companies;(2)the variable growth rate changes by comparing progress,TFP and technology two technology the efficiency of decomposition,find out the trend of changes in their growth rates shown are basically consistent,more complete and detailed analysis in The economic development of the beverage manufacturing industry in China.Fifth,based on the economic theory and research literature on the basis of beverage manufacturing industry data availability,this essay builds a dynamic panel model and analyzes from the macro level the 11 factors that influence the Chinese beverage manufacturing industry total factor productivity,In the result,there are 5 factors that are significantly correlated with the total factor productivity growth,there are 6 factors but not significant,we mainly elaborate and TFP growth of 6 factors significantly related:(1)the increase of the consumption growth rate,the degree of marketization and the level of transportation infrastructure can actively promote the beverage manufacturing industry TFP growth;(2)the increase of highly educated employees can promote the beverage manufacturing industry TFP growth;(3)control the increase of the number of enterprises can promote the total factor productivity of material manufacturing industry;(4)according to the total factor productivity lag phase results,if other conditions remain unchanged,driving force is lacked for the Chinese beverage manufacturing industry to improve the efficiency.
