As the third pole of China's economic growth, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has made outstanding contributions to China's economic growth, but environmental problems have become more serious. It is necessary to continuously improve the green total factor productivity and promote the green development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.Based on the BDDF-GLPI model, taking into account the impact of resources and environment, the green total factor productivity(GLPI)of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from 2005 to2015 was measured, and the growth source was double-decomposed into the total and refined elements. The trend of time and space has been studied. The results show that the total factor productivity of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei is increasing at an annual average of3.43%,which is at the forefront of the country and higher than the traditional total factor productivity. The “Porter Hypothesis”was established among the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The contribution of technological progress and scale effect in the total decomposition is outstanding, and the “two-wheel drive” of technological progress and scale effect has been realized, but the technical efficiency is not good. The energy-saving and emission-reduction performance of factor decomposition plays a major role, and the labor performance is outstanding. In terms of time and space changes, the Beijing-TianjinHebei green total factor productivity showed a fluctuating trend, reaching the maximum in2007 on the eve of the world economic crisis, and two significant declines in 2009 and2012.Beijing and Tianjin are in a state of high growth. The GLPI of Langfang,Hengshui,Shijiazhuang,Tangshan and Qinhuangdao has an obvious upward trend. The GLPI trend of other cities is relatively slow, and the differences between regions are significant. The three levels of economic development, factor structure, and government environmental regulation have positive effects on green total factor productivity. The secondary economic development, industrial structure, foreign investment, and energy consumption all have negative effects on green total factor productivity to varying degrees."Pollution paradise" or "pollution shelter" was confirmed in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
