With the development of digital media technology, the traditional reading began a new chapter of history. Reading was no longer mentioned with books and paper. On the electronic screen, reading evolved to the interaction between human and digit symbol. The changes of reading carriers, not only changed the style of books, but also changed people's reading habits and social behavior which was derived from the traditional paper reading.Based on the theory of Media Ecology and by the questionnaire survey of 480 digital readers, the depth interview of 26 digital readers, the paper depicted realistic picture of digital reading from five aspects:the readers'distribution, content and demand preferences, digital reading media choices, reading behavior characteristics, digital reading environment. On this basis, this paper further explored the mutual constructional relationship between digital reading media and people. It was analyzed along two clues:On the aspect of people leading development of media technology, the paper analyzed the digital reading media evolved by anthropotropic trend and demonstrated heterogeneity complementary and competitive relationship between digital reading and traditional paper reading. On the aspect of media bias influencing digital readers, the paper analyzed the effection of readers'cognition, Identity and authority construction.The paper was divided into nine chapters.The first chapter was introduction that discussed the causes of the subject, research significance. Based on literature review, the introduction concluded the proper research methods, research ideas, innovation and difficulties.In the second chapter, by the questionnaire survey of 480 digital readers, the paper had a main description of digital reading:the youth were the main digital readers and the elderly population was gradually increasing. Digital reading was not simplify stuffed by news and information, trying to meet the demand for entertainment, but also was practical information based, at length, depth content supplemented by multi-level reading. The needs of news and information, professional knowledge, ideas demand are the three main driving force to promote digital reading. In addition, the mobile media had overtaken newspapers, reading books and other traditional media to become the preferred reading medium. In the digital reading, the readers were more generally of active search, active writing, active sharing. In the traditional sense of the public space and private space segments also produced fusion and mutual embedded in the digital reading. Based on the overall picture of the reality depicted, the focus were summed and proposed for the sub-chapter to later establish goals.The third chapter was the theoretical basis of this article argument. This article combined philosophy of technology and Media Ecology and gave media environment interpretation from the Perspective of Philosophy of Technology in three dimensions. This paper filled and sutured the defects of "technological determinism theory" and "technology neutrality" in Media Ecology, hold the idea of "cultural/ technical symbiosis theory", the mutual constructional relationship between digital reading media and people. It laid the foundation for the relationship between the digital reading media and the reading subjects.In the fourth chapter, the paper discussed the digital reading media multisensory interleaving perception, double sign and hypertext language introduction, share the social reading three media characteristics from the three aspects of the media environment, perception, the symbol environment, social environment. And it also discussed the perception of digital reading media bias, spatial and temporal bias, political bias and social bias.In the fifth chapter, based on the first clue——people constructed the evolution of media on three aspects:Information simulation, information preservation and instant dialogue, the paper discussed the relationship between digital reading and traditional paper reading.The sixth seventh and the eighth chapter discussed the second clue of the relationship between people and media mutual construction from the digital reading of human cognition, identity, authority construction respectively. It focused on the study of the impact of digital reading on the readers.The sixth chapter analyzed the five aspects of the cognitive of the reading subject:attention, perception, memory, thinking and problem solving, language and imagination. The seventh chapter compared the construction of identity in the traditional reading and the construction of identity in digital reading, and discussed the changes of ego identity and group identity construction in digital reading. Chapter eight compared the traditional reading with digital reading in authoritative texts, the authority, the authority of the culture of the construction from media factors in constructing the authority. And then it discussed the decline of traditional authority.The ninth chapter summarized the full text and concluded that the relationship between digital reading media and reading subjective was mutual tension, two-way construction. It provided practical recommendations for the establishment of a healthy reading ecology. At the same time, this chapter provided suggestions for the competition and development of the paper reading and digital reading from the perspective of media ecology.
