| In the higher education schools in our country,the number of local colleges and universities accounts for more 90%of the national total and meanwhile the number of students of these local colleges and universities also accounts for above 90%of the total,so there is no doubt that the local colleges and universities has become a main part of our country’s higher education.However,there is still a lot of serious problems in faculty,funds investment,support policy and other aspects in the development of the local colleges and universities.The contractions and tension of development required that local colleges and universities must seek new breakthrough point in higher education refonnation and enhance the overall quality and teaching level of the local colleges and universities,and further get rid of the dilemma of "main body" and"weak development".And the construction of teacher teams and reformation based on teachers’ professional development is undoubtedly becomes a important breakthrough to solve these problems for local colleges and universities.That is to say,promoting the professional development of teachers in local colleges and universities is not only the need of teachers’ own construction,but also the only way to improve the overall quality of teachers in local colleges and universities and to achieve sustainable development.This paper takes five local colleges and universities in H province as the research object,particularly exploring and analyzing existing problems in the process of professional development of PE teachers in local colleges and universities,and finally proposes related recommendations on feasible PE teachers’ professional development in local colleges and universities.This paper adopts the mixed research method,mainly combining the mode of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis.In the overall analysis of the present situation of PE teachers’ professional development in local colleges and universities,quantitative analysis method plays its advantage;but in the attribution analysis of these problems,In-depth descriptive qualitative data has incomparable advantages.The organic combination between the quality and quantity breaks through the shackles of traditional research on traditional teachers’ professional development,providing a more open thinking for teachers’ professional development in local colleges and universities.This study finds that the current PE teachers’ professional development in local colleges and universities has some problems,such as professional knowledge development deficiencies(including few channels and development forms,low enthusiasm in PE teachers’ professional development),professional skills development suffers from neglect(baton role of scientific research oriented evaluation system),and the indifferenceof professional emotional development(low job satisfaction,emotional connection indifference between teachers and students).In the author’s opinion,the reason is that related policy and system design in the national and provincial level makes the local colleges and universities often at a disadvantage,and the local colleges and universities generally have the trend to follow key universities,causing a negative impact on PE teachers’ professional development.In addition,the sports science in disciplinary systems of colleges and universities is usually in a weak position,that is also an important aspect.Of course,we should not ignore the problem on the low will in professional development of PE teachers individuals.But we should stress that this is a vicious cycle:under the condition of the local colleges and universities being at a disadvantage,local colleges and universities have the trend to follow key universities and there is a uneven allocation of resources,scientific research oriented evaluation system poses a certain erosion to PE teachers’teaching enthusiasm,andthe will of teacher professional development continues to reduce,thereby further strengthening the weak position of local colleges and universities among colleges and universities.To better promote PE teachers’ professional development and gradually turn the vicious circle in "local colleges and universities——PE teachers’ professional development",we should solve the problem of PE teachers’ professional development in local colleges and universities from multiple dimensions and multiple levels.Above all,if we want to change the value orientation of PE teachers’ professional development,we should advocate the orientation of adhering to "stimulating the teachers’ professional autonomy consciousness","education quality as the core" and"cooperation".At the same time,local colleges and universities should try to optimize the interior and the exterior conditions of PE teachers’ professional development,such as stimulating PE teachers’ professional development initiative,creating policy environment of guiding PE teachers’ professional development in local colleges and universities and expanding the approaches of PE teachers’ professional development in local colleges and universities. |
