The Research On Financial Logistics Management System

With the rapid economic growth of recent years, both the domestic and internationalfinancial and logistics industries have achieved great developments and have formedvarious products and business models, which have led to deeper researches on thesetwo industries. However, there are still little studies on the combination of finance andlogistics-“Financial Logistics”. Just a few researches were restricted in Supply ChainFinance (or Logistics Financing), but omitted an extensive field that Finance andLogistics have mutual effects and enhancements. Therefore, this dissertation takesFinancial Logistics Management System as the research object, and intends to set up acomprehensive theoretical system.Up to now, Financial Logistics has been developed beyond simplex logistics orfinancial services. It has become a new theoretical research direction with thecontinuous syncretizing and mutual effects of logistics and financial services. Basedon a lot of researches, investigations and in-depth analysis, the author reveals thatFinancial Logistics is mainly composed of two categories: One is the logistics systemto meet the background logistics needs of various financial organizations, the other isthe supply chain finance management system combining financial and3rd-partylogistics services. Hence this dissertation has conducted researches and descriptionson various aspects of the four representative financial logistics subsystems (ChequeLogistics, Records Logistics, Cash Logistics and Supply Chain Finance), includingsystem structure, influencing factors, operational workflows, risk control, etc.Moreover, the dissertation has concluded the coordinative optimization andperformance assessment models for each subsystem and the entire system respectively,and predicts the future developing trends and research direction of FinancialLogistics.Compared to the previous studies, the innovations of this dissertation include: Itreveals the broad sense “Financial Logistics” as an absolute new theoretical systemfor the first time, compared to the narrow sense “logistics financing” concept; It alsoconcludes and forms the core concepts, system structural factors and standardoperational workflows of each financial logistics subsystem; Besides, this dissertationcreates a set of performance assessment model for Financial Logistics ManagementSystem, also researches and describes the coordinative optimization of its subsystems; It adopts lots of primary real materials from the financial logistics business circle,achieves organic combination of theories and actual operations, and intends to usetheories to guide actual operations for better business benefits. Lastly, from the angleof3rd-party logistics, this dissertation makes analysis and predictions on theapplications and developing trends of financial logistics theories.This dissertation has reviewed and analyzed the existing research achievements andtheories thoroughtly, and creates an integrated financial logistics management systemtheory, which fills the blank area of the previous researches. It will give guidableeffects and instructive supports to the developments, practices and applications of theFinancial Logistics Management System theories.
