Nowadays competition in Motor Industry has gradually changed from R&D and production-oriented mode to logistics supply chain. Nanjing Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd. was put into production in 2007, and its construction of logistics supply chain must keep pace with the mass production plan. The traditional logistics model was receive-warehousing-issue-production line, which inevitably brought about a series of problems, such as heavy demand of storage location, large scale capital occupation, low turnover rate, high handling costs, parts obsolescence (effective date control) issue and etc. The solution to these issues has become the primary task during the building of logistics supply chain systems. It is necessary to develop a, supply chain management system to improve the competitiveness and achieve rapid response for logistics problems.Firstly the current situation and issues of logistics supply chain in domestic automobile industry as well as Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd are analyzed, and the necessity of building the supply chain system on the Milk Run (pull logistics) is clearly identified. Based on this, and with the consideration of the domestic logistics environment and the practical circumstances of Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd. Suppliers, in-house parts pull schedule, purchased parts orders release and delivery notice, supplier invoice entry and so on should be included in the design of logistics supply chain system functions. Then the structure of supply chain system is explained. The detailed design of core subsystem, which is used for in-house parts pull schedule, purchased parts orders release and delivery notice, supplier invoice entry and so on, is rolled out through the way of utilizing modular design methodology. The realization of the subsystem used for purchased parts orders release and delivery notice is emphasizingly considered. Lastly, the extendibility and investment efficiency of this system is analyzed.
