At that time engraved books were carvedofficially and privately. Engraved printing in the Song Dynasty is notable in thehistory of ancient printing, books, publishing, and even cultural transmission.Compared to hand-written, engraved printing have great advantages in terms ofcultural transmission, which was to promote the revival of Confucianism in the SongDynasty. Song Dynasty historians helped accelerate prosperity and technology. Inshort, the engraved printing of the Song Dynasty is a major force behind the spreadof Chinese culture and provided major contributions to the people of China.Engraved works provided fertile ground for the development and prosperity of SongDynasty literature, helping lay a solid foundation for the future of Chinese literature.During the Song Dynasty literature was able to achieve brilliant success andprosperity because of these transformations that were taking place.
