Media Balance Under The Ecological Perspective Of News

The concept of balance report originated from the west. beginning in1729.Since balance report had been put forward, it has always been the principle followed by the western journalistic practices and the goal of the pursuit of news report. With the arrival of the period of social transformation, social conflicts intensifies, more and more controversies and uncertainties come up. sudden emergence of new media, news imbalance becomes more and more serious, the function and significance of balance report become more conspicuous. As the process of social and political democratization is quickening in China, the marketization of media brings up intensifying competition, the awareness of balance of journalists enhances, the media literacy of audience improves, all which promote the practice of news balance report.News balance report, as the research object in this thesis. From the perspective of media ecology, learning from its and some other related theoretical perspective and basic viewpoints, based on reality and linking theory with practice, combining with a large number of case analysis and investigation, this thesis traces back to the origin of the concept of balance report, researches on ontology, investigates current situations, analyses practices and countcnneasures.Chapter one. researches on historical evolution of news balance report from the diachronic dimension. Combs its evolution of concept, its practice by the western mainstream media, relevant laws and regulations, and its development trajectory in China.Chapter two. researches on ontology of balance report, analyzes the connotation and the basic elements of news balance report.Chapter three, deep analyzes the constraints and impacts of the media ecology of various factors on balance report, reveals the complexity and multifaceted nature of the theory and practice of "balance report", and its realistic dilemma in contemporary China.Chapter four.investigates current situation of practice of balance report in the field of news report such as controversial events, international reports. court cases, social news and disadvantaged groups.
