New media technology application has changed the means of communication and the media environment rapidly. In the digital age, newspaper industry has encountered multiple pressures from the internal and the external. Newspaper is asked to adjust to the new environment. The media convergence of newspaper is not only based on the technical level, but also a kind of thorough type of change especially a kind of organizational change from content production to remodel the organizational structure in every aspect.This study will consider newspaper organization as the research objection; analyze the development of newspaper organization both from western and domestic development perspective. And through two micro newspaper organizations’analysis and comparing, discuss the newspaper organizational change direction and path from the aspects of value chain, process reengineering, organization structure, human resources.Specifically, this research framework is as follows:Chapter1:Introduction. This chapter presents the research background, significance and the purpose, ideas and research contents, the research methods and the research may innovate, as well as the concept and literature review of media convergence, media organization, and newspaper organization.Chapter2:Overview. This chapter summarizes the newspaper organizational change of internal and external reasons, and review of western and Chinese newspaper organization change history review.Chapter3:Newspaper organization value chain change. This chapter analyzes the constitution of newspaper organization value, and points out that the knowledge production is the foundation of the newspaper industry value chain. That is the knowledge characteristics make newspaper from "second sale" to "sell many times"。Chapter4:Newspaper organization process reengineering. This chapter points out that process reengineering is the core of organizational change.Chapter5:Newspaper organization structure reform. This chapter is based on Shanghai stock News as an example, analyzes the newspaper organization from hierarchical organization to process-orientated organization.Chapter6:Human resources management changes. This chapter points out that the newspaper human resources are the core of the knowledge capital.Chapter7:Epilogue. In this part, get the main conclusion of this study based on each chapter above, predict the prospect newspaper organizational change.and point the problems and the further research direction of this research.
