Minzu colleges and universities, which include not only Minzu colleges or universities but also the institutions of higher learning in minority areas, are the most characteristics and also a very important part of our higher educational system, whose schooling level and development status matter with economic and social development in minority areas and the programs to promote unity and progress among ethnic groups. The philosophy of schooling for Minzu colleges and universities is highly combined with school-running ideas, process and characteristics in different periods, and it is also the combined action of internal factors and external factors as a result of the unity of historic and logicality, and the top-level design based on their own development and manifestation of features.When it comes to the research on the schooling of the Minzu colleges and universities,the historical tradition should not only be traced, but the educational laws should be explored with the reality understood as well in order to promote their present and future development, and make a combination of diachrony and reality. Therefore, this paper starts with the change of schooling idea, taking "educational philosophy originating from the educational practice and guiding practice" as the logical starting point, from the perspective of macro, meso and micro, and by adopting historical research, literature research,field investigation, case study and the methods of multi-disciplinary comprehensive research,and combs the history and development process of Minzu colleges and universities. Based on this, the comprehensive analysis of the school-running concept on the various historical stages is made and the special laws of the development for Minzu colleges and universities are concluded as follows. First, the historical tradition is the foundation for the development of Minzu colleges and universities, which has given birth to the schooling concept. Change, which is the inevitable choice of the development of the Minzu colleges and universities, will promote the schooling concept. Minzu colleges and universities have to make a choice between "change" and "the same". On the one hand, they cannot abandon the history and tradition, and on the other hand,they cannot get stuck in the past or blindly follow others. Second, the particularity is the natural attribute of the Minzu colleges and universities and during the process of development, such particularity has implemented their own "reproduction", which has stemmed from the particularity and promoted it,and has decided the characteristics of Minzu colleges and universities because the characteristic idea is the special capital, the vitality and the competitiveness for the Minzu colleges and universities. As a form of education, Minzu colleges and universities need to keep the characteristics rather than take the particularity as the capital for the development. They need to weigh and consider the balance between "special" and "common" without losing the "special" or getting rid of the "common", but they should use the "common" to support the development of the "special". Third, because of their historical background and era mission,Minzu colleges and universities have both advantages and disadvantages in the internal and external environment and conditions of their own development. Therefore, they need to upgrade their educational concept and constantly change the "bad" to the "benefit" to promote their sustained sustainable and healthy development.As far as the research significance is concerned, this paper can offer some reference for the construction of high-level Minzu colleges and universities so that they will make the due contribution to the cultivation of highly qualified minority talent, the inheritance and innovation of minority cultures and the service for the ethnic work and educational development. Besides, this research will broaden the field of the study of contemporary higher educational philosophy and rich the Minzu higher educational theory to a certain extent.
