Study On The Collected Works Of The Ming Dynasty Of The Head Of The Si Ku Quan Shu

If statistic by dynasties, we can find that the most collected works in the Head of the Si Ku Quan Shu, more than a thousand articles (including bibliographic and deposit account), feed to the Ming Dynasty. However, there are many problems in the Head ranging from historical mistakes, misreading of the literature, limitations of vision to bias of ideas. Therefore, when study the head of Si Ku Quan Shu, we should not only clean up the mistake of historical documents, but also analyze the thoughts and literary concepts through improving and perfecting the historical materials, especially the library officers’ attitudes towards the literatures in Ming Dynasty. Both thoughts hiding behind the historical materials and comments of the library officers are important parts of the Dialectical concepts.Chapter 1, general studies. First, the imperial edicts had a great influence on writing of the Head ofSi Ku Quan Shu and its viewpoints on the Ming Dynasty produced an effect on the Head, whose concepts reflected the official identity. Second, the library officers responsible for the Head represented the official willingness and they were the actual promoters of official identity. We can find the thoughts in the Head, especially the literary thoughts, were deeply influenced by the thoughts of Weng Fanggang, Yao Nai and Shao Jinhan from the retained drafts. Third, under the official limitation, a lot of problems were ignored in the research of the Head, which was the result of separation between integrity research and individual research. Many issues deserve our attention such as the diversities of officers’ culture accumulation and academic thoughts, the differentiation among the authors and so on.Chapter 2, the study of version. Mostly, the contents in the Head involved some version information. The version statements were brief while the version information were not clear. Dig into anthologies in the Ming dynasty version of the head, we can found many problems in version of the Head, for example, the sources of the version were unknown, the time was recorded without Discrimination; good and bad versions mixed together; the vision was limited and differentiation occurred careless mistakes. Besides, since the people in Qing Dynasty revised the collected works of Ming Dynasty, the version were not it original color and the current version were different from the original one.Chapter 3, literature review. It was not long from the time of library officials writing the Si Ku Quan Shu to the alternation of dynasties between Ming and Qing, so that those library officials’ viewpoints towards the Ming anthology were deeply influenced by political, cultural and academic environments and wore blinkers to see the Ming anthology. The literatures in the Head of Siku Quan Shu of Ming anthology were from writers, thinkers, critics, reviewers in the Ming Dynasty or from critics in the Qing Dynasty. No matter what, these people’s attitudes towards Ming anthology in Si Ku Quan Shu were under the observation of library officials’ inspection. After the deep analysis on literatures, we find it should further judgement to judge its correctness.Chapter 4, researches on literary thoughts. The important value of Ming anthology of the Head lies in its assessment of the Ming Dynasty’s literature and its evaluation made a profound impact on the Ming Dynasty’s literary criticism. Throughout the literature history and criticism history of the Ming Dynasty, we find that the quotes from the Head can be found everywhere while rarely had doubts and objections. In fact, the literary thoughts of the Ming Dynasty in the Head had serious limitations. This chapter intends to analyze from three aspects:firstly, to explore the general literary thoughts of the Ming Dynasty in the Head, the political system and orthodox in the Qing Dynasty’s influence on literature and the conceptual tradition of "literature first". Secondly, analyzing the transmutation of the literary thoughts in the Ming Dynasty of the Head by tracing the writing process and research its behind causes. Finally, pay attention to special critical techniques, such as group consciousness, multi critical factor and so on.Chapter 5, the research effect and trend of the Head of Si Ku Quan Shu. The literary thoughts in two-hundred years ago perhaps only represent the mid-Qing Dynasty’s assessments on the literature in the Ming Dynasty. As the time went by and society changed, the existing assessments obsolesced and gradually emerged cracks. However, the influence of the Head still can not be ignored. Only have a more comprehensive grasp of its influence can we find out the crux of the problem, and then solve the literary history and criticism history’s special dependence on the Head. The research of the Ming anthology tended to two directions, one was the pure literary study about the involving fact itself, the other was the refining of the Head’s literary thoughts of the Ming Dynasty.
