| The dissertation systematically discuss the livelihood modes of the typical crescent moon community(a Hui Village) on the north slope of Xinjiang oasis with the theory and method of ethnology and present the development strategy for the crescent moon community.The content of the dissertation is divided into ten chapters:Chapter one introduces the research idea of the dissertation in four aspects-â… background;â…¡the content and significance;â…¢the difficulty IV research method. The second chapter introduces background information of the community about geography location, livelihood mode education and religious beliefs; Chapter three makes a particular introduction on several livelihood modes in the community; and chapter four discusses the influence of the National policy on the livelihood mode of the community. Chapter five studies the influence of ecology environment on the livelihood mode of the community; Chapter six investigates the influence of culture and education on the livelihood mode of the community; Chapter seven reviews the influence of consumption culture on the livelihood mode of community; Chapter eight reviews the influence of modernization development on livelihood mode of the community; and chapter nine emphasizes the tremendous sense of sustainable development theory of DFID to the community. The last chapter summarizes the main studies and give some advice about renewal of the livelihood modes for the crescent moon community.In conclusion, this paper discuss and analyze the development and changes of the contemporary Hui people's livelihood pattern in Changji of Sin Kiang province, summing up the interactive relation between livelihood pattern and education, ecotype, modernization, consumption, and so on. From this paper, we will find it is very important that we imply sustainable livelihood development strategic in Hui community. |
