Study On The Improvement Of Feasible Capability In Tourism Of The Residents Of Wengding Community Of Wa Nationality

The Wa nationality is one of the nine "directly-entering-socialism" nationalities in China.In the early days of liberation,the government adopted a series of special policies and measures which were different from those of the mainland to help them directly in transition to the socialism.They are a group with an overall deep poverty level which is formed by history.The quality-based poverty is outstanding,which faces the arduous task that lay equal stress on both overcoming poverty and human development as well as social progress.The Wengding community of Wa nationality is the most typical group of Wa nationality in China.In the past ten years,the local residents have actively explored effective ways in tourism development.However,as a result of the insufficient development and protection of tourism resources,the tourism development progressed slowly.This paper chooses the WengdingWa nationality community as a case to conduct empirical study.According to the actual situation of residents’ tourism development,based on the Theory of Feasible Capability,Drucker’s Cultural Management Theory,the Capability-oriented Management Theory and "Staged Authenticity"of Tourism Anthropology Theory.We usethe qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the current situation of the Wengding community residents’ tourism feasible capability.This paper further puts forward the strategies to improve theresidents’feasibleabilities in tourism through exploring the deep reasons which restrict the development of residents’ feasible abilities in tourism.The main contents are as follows:1.A theoretical analysis framework for the tourism feasibility of the residents of Wa community and the evaluation index system of the tourism feasibility of the residents of Wa community are constructed.Base on the lots of researches of Feasible Capability,the successful experience in China and abroad and the charcterof Wa community,the theoretical analysis framework and the evaluation index system are constructed.The big background of the entire theoretical analysis framework is tourism development.The factors which restrict the feasible capability of residents’ tourism are weak environment,functional activities and the resources that are owned by residents.The key to solving the problem is to find an Fertile Function.That is under the support of the tourism security system,the responsible entities such as the government,the community,tourism enterprises,experts,scholars and residents propose countermeasures from the macro,meso and micro levels.The assessment index system of feasible capability in tourism of Wa community residents includes three theoretical dimensions,six major observation indicators and thirty-one sub-indicators.Three theoretical dimensions are good govemance,economic level and social chance.The feasible capability in tourism of residents includes the feasible capability to participate in tourism,the feasible capability of tourism employment,the feasible capability of tourism products development,the feasible capability of tourism financing,the feasible capability of tourism training and the feasible capability of social contact in tourism.That is under the support of the tourism security system,the responsible entities such as the government,the community,tourism enterprises,experts,scholars and residents propose countermeasures from the macro,meso and micro levels.The theoretical analysis framework of feasible capability in tourism of the residents of Wa community includes tourism development background,vulnerability environment,functional activities,resources,assessment analysis of tourism feasibility,incubation operation,tourism security,improvement strategy of feasible capability in tourism and improvement results of feasible capability in tourism.2.This paper empirically studies the Wengding community residents’ tourism feasible capability by the qualitative and quantitative methods.This paper chooses the WengdingWa nationality community as a case to conduct empirical study,and uses the qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the current situation of the Wengding community residents’tourism feasible capability.The collected data were tested by SPSS 17.0.On the basis of meeting the requirements of reliability and validity of the questionnaire,the feasible capability of residents’ tourism in Wengding community was evaluated by quantitative research methods such as factor analysis and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.The study finds out that Wa people have a strong feasible capability of social contact in tourism,but other feasible abilities in tourism are weak.This paper further puts forward the strategies to improve the residents’ feasible abilities in tourism through exploring the deep reasons which restrict the development of residents’ feasible abilities in tourism.This paper compares the feasible abilities of residents in Wengding Dazhai and Wending Xinya Xiazhai in the Wengding community of Wa nationality and finds that the feasible abilities in tourism of WengdingDazhai’s residents is significantly higher than that of WengdingXinya Xinya’s residents.The main reason is that the tourism development of Wengding Dazhai is stronger,while the tourism development of Wengding Xinya and Xiazhai are weaker.It can be seen that the strength of tourism development is directly proportional to the feasible abilities of the residents.3.This Study further puts forward the strategies to improve the residents,feasible abilities in tourism through exploring the deep reasons which restrict the development of residents’ feasible abilities in tourism.The incubating operation of the residents of the Wa nationality community is the feasible capability to participate in tourism,the feasible capability of tourism employment,the feasible capability of tourism products development,the feasible capability of tourism training and the feasible capability of tourism financing.The enhancement of these abilities can promote the improvement of other feasible capability in tourism.That is under the support of the tourism security system,which are the security of tourism management policy "development on frongtstage + protection at backstage" and multi-subject support.Therefore,the intervention point of the government’s public policy should be the five major feasible capability in tourism.There are three possible innovation points in this paper.First,the innovation of research vision.This paper has the vision of international research and interdisciplinary research.The author has conducted a field investigation of the successful experience of cultural tourism in Bali of Indonesia,which lays the foundation for broadening research ideas.This paper combines anthropology and management to conduct cross-disciplinary research.Anthropology centers onthe inheritance of culture of the local residents,while management focuses on the ability of people to improve.Through interdisciplinary research,this paper constructs a theoretical analysis framework and evaluation index system for the feasible capability in tourism of the community residents of Wa nationality,which contains three theoretical dimensions and six tourism feasible capability indicators.Second,the innovation of research content This paper introduces the feasible capability theory into the the tourism community of Wa nationality,and takes the feasible capability in tourism of the Wengding residents of Wa nationality as the research content.The paper summarized the contents of the study of the feasible capability in tourism of the Wengding residents of Wa nationality as the following:the feasible capability to participate in tourism,the feasible capability of tourism employment,the feasible capability of tourism products development,the feasible capability of tourism financing,the feasible capability of tourism training and the feasible capability of social contact in tourism.For the first time,the issue of improving the feasible capability in tourism of the residents of the Wa nationality community paid attention,which is a practical exploration of promoting rural revitalization in China.Third,the innovation of theoretical analysis framework.This paper constructs a theoretical analysis framework and evaluation index system for the feasible capability in tourism of the residents of Wa community.That is the development of feasible ability in tourism research field,which is a practical exploration of promoting the tourism feasibility of the residents of Wa community.lt has certain reference value for the related research on the autonomous participation of minority community residents in Tourism Management in China.
