Research On Farmers' Livelihood Chain Poverty And Precision Poverty Alleviation Path

Based on the theory of cultural integration,the characteristics of sustainable livelihood analysis framework and the concept of “chain”,this paper puts forward the framework of livelihood chain analysis,and probes into the formation mechanism of poverty from the perspective of the farmer's livelihood chain.Meanwhile,taking L village of Jishou city in Hunan province as a case,this paper interprets and analyzes the farmers' livelihood chain poverty and their targeted alleviation paths.It is expected to provide useful reference and suggestions for implementation of precision poverty alleviation,consolidation of poverty alleviation achievements and realization of overall well-off life.There are two goals expected to achieve.The first one is to propose a comprehensive framework of livelihood chain analysis,which is the constructive sublation result of existing research from the perspective of cultural integration.All of these analyses are based on the review of the existing studies of poverty awareness and reduction,and current practical problems of precision poverty alleviation strategy.At the same time,the study explores the formation mechanism of poverty trap using the livelihood chain analysis framework.The second one is to deeply investigate the history and current situation of farmers' livelihood chain,the causes of livelihood chain poverty,and the precision poverty alleviation paths for farmers' livelihood chain poverty in the L village.It is expected to understand and explain the poverty and alleviation path of poverty at the present stage.The core hypothesis to be proved in this study is that there is a close relationship between poverty and livelihood environment,livelihood capital,livelihood strategy and livelihood output at the present stage.So,the comprehensive poverty alleviation intervention should integrate the four aspects of livelihood environment,livelihood capital,livelihood strategy and livelihood output.There are six chapters in this study.In addition to the introduction and the end,there are four chapters in the main body,which are discussed in two parts.The first part is the theoretical study,including the second chapter,which mainly puts forward the framework of livelihood chain analysis,and uses the framework of livelihood chain analysis to explain the formation mechanism of poverty.The second part is an empirical research,including chapter three,chapter four and chapter five.The purpose of this part is to analyze and explain the poverty situation and poverty alleviation path of the L village using the framework of livelihood chain analysis in fieldwork site.The main contents of each chapter are as follows.The first chapter is an introduction.It mainly reviews the related research on poverty awareness and poverty reduction path,and puts forward the research topic,defines the relevant concepts,and introduces the general situation of the fieldwork site,as well as the reasons for selecting the fieldwork site,and the research methods.Finally,it explains other related issues.The second chapter puts forward the framework of livelihood chain analysis.This part firstly introduces the basic elements of livelihood chain analysis framework,then subdivides the chain of livelihood analysis framework links and types of poverty.Finally,it introduces the measurement of each element in the framework of livelihood chain analysis.The third chapter is the history and present situation of the L village's farmers' livelihood chain,which analyzed from four factors of livelihood environment,livelihood capital,livelihood strategy and livelihood output.The fourth chapter is about the causes of poverty in the livelihood chain of the L village.This part analyzes the causes of livelihood chain poverty in the L village from four aspects of livelihood environment,livelihood capital,livelihood strategy and livelihood output.Among them,the cause analysis includes the subject and object analysis,the subject analysis is from the position of farmers,and the object analysis is mainly based on the actual situation of the field survey,but also considering of farmer's position,and analyzing by livelihood chain poverty formation mechanism framework.The fifth chapter's topic is the precision poverty alleviation of the livelihood chain poverty of farmers in the L village.Combined with the reality of precision poverty alleviation practice in the L village,using the livelihood chain analysis framework,this part is mainly to interpret and analyze the alleviation of livelihood chain poverty of farmers in the L village in the process of precision poverty alleviation,from four dimensions of livelihood environment,livelihood capital,livelihood strategy and livelihood output.The sixth chapter is the summary,discussion and reflection of livelihood chain poverty alleviation.This part includes the summary of the theory,practice and research findings related to the livelihood chain,and the review and reflection of the methodology involved in this study.The research findings mainly include five aspects: 1)The livelihood chain is the indigenization theoretical paradigm of poverty;2)The farmers' poverty in the L village should be comprehensively intervened around the livelihood chain of farmers.3)Precision poverty alleviation needs to pay equal attention to alleviation of explicit poverty and prevention of implicit poverty;4)To reduce farmers' livelihood chain poverty through precision poverty alleviation strategy should respect farmers' opinions;5)Stable poverty alleviation requires establishment of a long-term livelihood chain poverty alleviation mechanism.
