Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) was put forward by the Gartner Group at the beginning of 90's in last century. It is described as next generation of enterprise systems, and gradually becomes a kind of management thought and management mode through many years development and also a path of business enterprise management modernization. The successful implementation of ERP may help enterprises do decision-making on a scientific basis, and promote efficiency and effectiveness of administration. ERP also serve as a framework and a platform for IT construction and enterprise operations. The process of ERP implementation is one of organizational learning experience, which enhances the administrative level of organizations.However, put ERP into practice, it is a revolution of management, involve the exterior and interior environment of the business enterprise, and affect the enterprise business work of each level. So, this makes enterprises meet many problems. In the current environment of eagerness and uneasiness, an enterprise can hardly make the right decision and choice in reasonable manner to implement ERP. This often affect to a large degree the success or failure of information system construction. High risks in the application ERP and low chance of success restrict the popularization of ERP. How to implement ERP successfully has been a problem for enterprises that takes ERP. This makes the research to risk management in ERP application seem to be increasingly important.ERP application leads to a series change in management philosophy, operation processes and organization culture. It brings to enterprise advantages of new thought and technology, and non-adaptation as well. For this, management and control must change as ERP implementation proceeding. This paper give us a mode how the ERP is processing in enterprises' structure, how to manage the risks and control the procedures to be success. The main outcomes of this paper are:Firstly, put forward a new model for risk management in ERP Implementation. ERP Implementation is a dynamic process to upgrade the capability maturity of enterprises. It needs a series of adjustment in the enterprise, including alignment, match and congruence, to make success for ERP implementation. Secondly, the model for risk management in ERP implementation can be used as IT governance practice and guideline. Thirdly, this paper gives us an explanation why 'IT paradox' exists.
