From farming civilization to large-scale production of industrialization,from the steam time to electrical time,mankind has never ceased to explore the pace. As we quietly entered the 21st century,the rush of information from everyone of us is full of life. Advertisement can be seen everywhere,swarming from the information,ubiquitous information network……To rely on the creation of a new era of profit has became a major means of economic growth. In many industries,ahead of the media industry is booming. It is undeniable that the media industry has provided the price information and intelligence,has drastically changed the human way of thinking,behavior patterns and economic activities. How to analysis the media industry from industry perspective,how to learn from international experience at the same time characteristic of media economy in our country. China media are not only carrying the heavy responsibility of national,but also has the special significance in media development of the world.The research on media industry is still at a blank stage and there are no research on the media industry from the perspective of industrial economics.. We systematically reviewed economic theory of the media industry and development literature and the theory of literature, comprehensive use of industrial economics, management, communications, sociology theory, applied to the media industry to study the process of development. And this paper analysis the general characteristics,the nature characteristics,the operating characteristics,the development characteristics of china media industry.Compared to other country's media industries, there are no fundmental differences. The difference is mainly in the government. Government strictly regulate the media industry. From the relationships between government and media industry,the development of media industry is divided into three phases:the government allow,implement industries,initiative of government. On this basis,we analysis the development characteristics of China media industry,and summarized the inmpact of elements:the role of government,media themselves and socio-economic enviroment.In the first place,this article discusses the role of government. Because of the double property of the China media industry, to ensure that the media industry in general different economic fields in other industries, government involvement and intervention in more and implement more stringent regulations. Under such circumstances, China's media industry can achieve such a rapid development, to a large extent benefited from the policy on the media's response to the trend of industrialization and the promotion of,and gradually relax regulations and take the initiative to implement reforms and opening up to moderate.
