As the vanguard of commercialization of the media, the United States government claims to believe in the principle of freedom of the press, and the two parties take turns in power, it seems hard to control the American media. However, we can easily see the influence of the government has kept the United States not affected by the mainstream media editorial production policy, from the World WarⅠto the Vietnam War and then the "Watergate Affair", american news media and government relations experience from " lapdog " to "watchdog" and then "attack dog" the role of the changes. In fact the American media and government relations is far from the surface we see as simple.This article is based on the American mass media and the government acts as research objective, in the United States since the World War I history of the background events, first expounded on the United States for the past 30 years since the media in reporting the events of changes in the ways of their specific operation introduced. Followed by the United States with the news media the conflict between the theoretical context of sorting out, from the legal, news professionalism, and the democratic system level study of the social conflict causes. And the next, United States media and among the government, include the development of vision, from the theoretical point of view, interactive analysis of American news media and the government role in the interaction, methods, results reveals the American news media and the government of the symbiotic relationship. Finally, with respect to the United States in today's interactive media's disadvantaged status proposed in the hope that their re-examine with the control and anti-control lessons, in order to secure the alleged Road led to the world's media status.
