Complex equipment manufacturing is the most sophisticated in modern manufacturing industry. The improvement of manufacturing management system for complex equipment plays a significant role in reducing the industrial comprehensive resource consumption and accelerating the transformation of national economic benefits increase mode. Our complex equipment manufacturing enterprises now have such problems as long product development cycle, little product reuse, low and unbalanced usage of manufacturing resources and low compatibility between manufacturing process plan and production control. These problems lead to long production cycle, quality instability and high manufacturing cost. The development of information technology promotes the transformation of the production and operation management mode. The manufacturing management system based on information technology has already become the inevitable trend in modern enterprise management system development.Directed toward such characteristics of complex equipment manufacturing as complicated product structure, numerous product parts, fast upgrading of product types, complex manufacturing process and close control of production cycle, based on the process of product development,manufacturing management and information integration in complex equipment manufacturing industry, the paper focuses on the architecture and key technologies of manufacturing management system for complex equipment and the results as follows:●In product design, aimed at complicated product structure and numerous product types in complex equipment manufacturing industry, the collaborative design management system architecture based on PDM is put forward which is composed of knowledge management, geometric modeling, configuration design and product management. It supports the design process which is customer-oriented, supplier-coordinating and knowledge resource reusing and improves design efficiency and product structure quality.●In product manufacturing management, aimed at long production cycle and the consistency of the production process of product parts in complex equipment manufacturing industry, the manufacturing management system based on the three-layer architecture of ERP/MES/PCS is brought forward. It supports process plan, consistency control, material track, and the integration of production plan and manufacturing execution and thus ensures the improvement of production efficiency and the accuracy of due date.●In information integration, aimed at production discreteness in complex equipment manufacturing industry, the information integration system architecture centered on xBOM is advanced; xBOM model and transformation pattern is built. Therefore, the conversion between design data and engineering data is achieved and the integration of design process, production process and manufacturing execution is realized.The research on manufacturing management system for complex equipment and the enterprise manufacturing system architecture based on modern information technology and adaptive to modern enterprise development plays a very important part in solving the problems of "Process Isolated Island" and "Information Isolated Island" in enterprise informationalization, improving the management level of complex equipment manufacturing industry, reducing the industrial comprehensive resource consumption and accelerating the transformation of national economic benefits increase mode, and thus it is valuable to the development of equipment manufacturing management system.
