Based on cognition theory and information technology,the paper build a simulated brain model to aid creative design by integrated artificial intelligent,expert system,fuzzy logic,and knowledge mining based on database over Internet. The brain model including a memory structure to save information and knowledge,and a thought strategy with some certain levels to guide activities,therefore,the intelligent activities such as learning,problem-solving and creative design could be treated as the process that utility memory in control of thought strategy. And the brain model has some special features like self-learning,self-organizing,self-balancing.We aim to build a theory system to simulate brain in the information process;a computer aided design system having integrated social factors and having self-learning function to update its knowledge;and an opening,flexible supporting knowledge environment to adapt to changing and development of world easily. Simulating brain to manage,organize and apply design knowledge,it is not only an exploration to study creative design system developing technology,but also a road to systematically transplant design knowledge to software.The main research context and some special points including:(1) Research of theory system of brain modelResearch of brain model provides a way to systematically transplant design knowledge to software. Especially,it integrated social factors like aesthetics feeling,value direction into computer. Considering current research of design model still in ES stage,and could only dispose some static data or information,the idea is an advanced one. The formalization of aesthetics feeling,value direction is also adapt to knowledge process of product design which is a field full of fuzzy,uncertain,dynamic and changing information.The paper also builds a web-based opening learning environment. After studying the methods of attaining knowledge from web,provide an idea to build brain study environment based on multi-agent technology. Software agents are used for feature extraction,style analyses and data pre-choosing,and integrated into the open environment. And the paper also provides the human-machine collaborated work pattern to mess individuation into knowledge attaining process. Therefore build a web-based opening learning environment connect to market,technology and sociality.(2) Research of brain's architectureThe paper build brain's thought state by belief,desire,intention level,and complete it's self-learning,self-learning,self-organizing,and self-balancing mechanism. Therefore,based on the static memory structure model and with the control of these control strategy,brain can carry out some mind activities like thought,problem-solving,learning. We also represent the aesthetics rules and creative methods in the brain model,and use transplantation creative method as example;we complete the realization and utilization of creative methods in computer. And proved the idea of use brain model in creative design is feasible.(3) Research of brain's memory structureAccording to needs of brain stimulation,author provides an idea to build memory structure,which could be the static state of brain,by using a three layers structure of signal,conception and knowledge. Signal layer represent links between the nerve cells,knowledge layer represent rules and reasoning of expert,conception layer is the medium layer and connect signal layer and knowledge layer,therefore integrated symbol computing ability of ES with link features of ANN into one body to make brain model more intelligent.(4) Development and application of creative design software system According to stimulated brain model,we build a creative design softwaresystem integrated social factors like market undulation and customer's performances. The system supports the whole creative appearance design process including design planning,building and transferring design model,and design evaluation.
