"Thirst Symptosis", in traditional Chinese medical science, refers to a group of symptoms that covers a range of diseases with similar systematic characteristics. It includes "symptosis at the top part", "symptosis at the middle part", "symptosis at the lower part", and "overall symptosis" as well. The modern disease "diabetes" has also been categorized in this group of diseases.This thesis is dedicated to the historical, as well as systematic review on the causative factors, the mechanism and development of the disease "Diminishing Thirst". Clinical studies of a group of twenty patients that symptomatically matched the use of "Jin-Guey-Sun-Chi tablet" as a traditional treatment were investigated. The effects of the recipes and its mechanism on the cure were investigated, in order to understand the relationship among "Thirst Symptosis", diabetes, and "Jin-Guey-Sun-Chi tablet".
