Objective:To investigate the current situation of nursing clinical teachers’ humanistic caring ability and its influencing factors,design and implement the improvement path of humanistic caring ability,and evaluate the implementation effect of the improvement path by applying the Kirkpatrick’s four-level model and semi-structured interview so as to explore a new path for improving nursing clinical teachers’ humanistic caring ability and provide new ideas for the integration of nursing clinical teaching into humanistic care.Method:141 nursing clinical teachers from one Grade-A hospitals in Jinan City were selected by convenient sampling method.This study is divided into the following four stages.The first stage: baseline survey.The general information questionnaire,Caring Ability Inventory(CAI)and Nursing Clinical Teacher Effectiveness Inventory(NCTEI)were distributed to nursing clinical teachers.To investigate the current situation of their humanistic caring ability and its influencing factors,and to assess the relevant theoretical knowledge of humanistic care.The second stage: the development the training programs and the humanistic caring ability promotion path.Set up expert teaching team;On the basis of reading and analyzing the relevant literature,consulting the relevant experts,demonstrating for many times,combining with the influencing factors of nursing clinical teachers’ humanistic caring ability and theoretical knowledge assessment results,we formulated a systematic training program for nursing clinical teachers based on the cultivation of humanistic care ability;Wechat communication group was established.The third stage: the implementation of the humanistic caring ability promotion path.The training includes offline training and online training,The training content is divided into seven parts: transcultural nursing theory,human caring science theory,nursing humanistic cultivation,life education,nursing ethics,nursing aesthetics and humanistic nursing teaching methods,the training methods include expert lectures,case analysis,group discussion,watching teaching videos,etc;After each training,nursing clinical teachers should upload notes in Wechat group and share their learning results;After all the training,nursing clinical teachers need to complete a nursing teaching ward round and share the experience in Wechat group.The fourth stage: the evaluation of the improvement path of humanistic caring ability.Based on the Kirkpatrick’s four-level model,satisfaction questionnaire was used to evaluate the effect of reaction level;The effect of learning level was evaluated by the examination results of humanistic caring theory knowledge;The effect of behavior level was evaluated by comparing the changes before and after the intervention with CAI.Semi-structured interviews were conducted among nursing clinical teachers and nursing students to evaluate the implementation effect of the improvement path.Result:1.Before the training,the average score of nursing clinical teachers’ humanistic caring ability was(197.33±18.69).The scores of cognition,courage and patience were(78.60±8.94),(59.72 ± 10.50)and(59.01 ± 6.00)respectively,which were lower than the international norm(P<0.05).Only 11.3% of nursing clinical teachers’ humanistic caring ability was at a high level.2.The results of univariate analysis showed that age,marital status,degree of love for nursing profession,years of nursing work,years of teaching,degree of concern of colleagues and leaders,department atmosphere and whether received humanistic care related training were the influencing factors of nursing clinical teachers’ humanistic caring ability,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Spearman correlation analysis showed that the humanistic caring ability of nursing clinical teachers was positively correlated with the total score of effective teaching behavior and its three dimensions(r=0.569,0.550,0.379,0.547,P<0.01).4.The results of multiple regression analysis showed that the years of teaching,whether received humanistic care related training and teaching ability,personality characteristics had a significant impact on the humanistic care ability of nursing clinical teachers(P<0.05),and the above four factors could explain 42.1% of the variation of their humanistic caring ability.5.Reaction level effect evaluation: 141 nursing clinical teachers fully affirmed the training attitude,training content,training implementation and training effect,and were highly satisfied.6.Learning level effect evaluation: after training,the average score of humanistic caring theory knowledge of nursing clinical teachers was(77.83 ± 5.27),which was significantly higher than(65.00±4.87)before(P<0.01).7.Behavior level effect evaluation: after training,the average score of nursing clinical teachers’ humanistic caring ability was(210.61±16.73),cognitive dimension was(82.89±8.46),courage dimension was(63.83±8.44),patience dimension was(63.91±3.90),which were significantly higher than those before(P<0.01),and 30.5% of nursing clinical teachers’ humanistic caring ability was at a high level;the scores of cognitive dimension and patience dimension were higher than those of international norm(P<0.05).The score of courage dimension was still lower than that of international norm(P<0.01).8.the results of semi-structured interview showed that nursing clinical teachers and nursing students had better evaluation on the improvement path of humanistic caring ability.Conclusion:1.Before the training,the level of humanistic caring ability of nursing clinical teachers was low,and the score of the three dimensions were lower than the international norm.The main influencing factors of humanistic caring ability of nursing clinical teachers were teaching years,whether they had received humanistic care related training,teaching ability and personality characteristics.2.Through the evaluation of the three levels of reaction,learning,behavior in Kirkpatrick’s model’s,and the results of semi-structured interview,it is concluded that the implementation of humanistic caring ability promotion path is helpful for nursing clinical teachers to improve their humanistic caring theoretical knowledge level and promote their humanistic caring ability,which is worthy of further promotion and Application. |
