Objective: This paper referred to the theoretical research and practical experience ofhumanistic care domestic and overseas. On the second half of2013, a questionnairesurvey were carried out to research the humanistic caring ability of students in2ndtier,3rdtier, nursing schools, and clinical medicine major, it evaluated the currentsituation of humanistic caring ability of nursing students comprehensively, discussedthe factors of influencing humanistic caring ability, put forward the countermeasureof carrying out the caring ability education, and provided the reference of makingnursing humanistic care education more targeted and effectively.Methods: Literature research method and questionnaire survey method were used.On the base of the definition of humanistic care, CAI scale, which had worldwideusage, higher authority, better liability and validity, was chose through literaturereviewing. The CAI scale was revised by domestic scholars such as Ma Yulian et al.Convenience sampling method was used on the second half of2013, junior studentsof undergraduate nursing major (2ndtier and3rdtier), nursing school, and clinicalmedicine major in Medical University were chose as research objects,which were allat the early stage of graduation internship and volunteered to join this survey.Tounderstand the different majors humanistic care situation, while some of the clinicalinvestigation majors. Revised tool accurately evaluated the current situation of humanistic caring ability of nursing students comprehensively, discussed the factorsof influencing humanistic caring ability.The statistical software SPSS13.0was usedto analyze the current situation and influence factors of humanistic caring ability ofstudent nurses through t test, variance analysis, and multiple linear stepwiseregression analysis.Results:1. Current situation of humanistic caring ability of nursing studentsMean score of CAI in the total scale was181.1320.84, mean score of patiencedimension was the highest as5.590.72, mean score of understanding dimensionwas in the middle as5.030.69, mean score of courage dimension was the lowest as4.230.89. Respectively, these scores were lower than the foreign norm.2. Humanistic caring ability of nursing students in different situation2.1Humanistic caring ability and score of each dimension of students with differentsex had no statistical difference (P>0.05), score of boys was181.5520.07and girls’score was181.2620.57.2.2Difference between different education levels and majors had statisticalsignificant (P<0.01). Nursing students of2ndtier scored the highest of192.7716.41,students of clinical medical scored187.2917.89, students of nursing school scored178.5218.61, and students of3rdtier scored the lowest of175.3422.65.2.3Difference of courage dimension between only children and non-only childrenhad statistical significant (P<0.05), non-only children had higher scores than those ofonly children. Other dimensions between them had no significant differences, butscores of non-only children were higher than those of only children. Non-onlychildren scored183.0320.75in total and the score of courage dimension was56.2611.03; only child scored179.7920.17in total and the score of couragedimension was53.9611.95.2.4Students, those had harmonious relationship with mothers, had a higherhumanistic caring ability score (181.8220.45) and understanding dimension score (70.689.57) than those who had general relationship with mothers, the differenceshad statistical significant (P<0.05).2.5Students, those had harmonious relationship with fathers, had a higherunderstanding dimensions score (70.839.82) than those who had generalrelationship with fathers (68.588.42), the difference had statistical significant(P<0.05).3. Factors of influencing the humanistic caring ability scoreInfluence factors of humanistic caring ability score of nursing students were:education level, major, whether or not be the only child, relationship with parents,class atmosphere, relationship between classmates, and so on.Conclusion:1. Compared with other countries, nursing students’ humanistic caring ability in ourcountry are lower than them. So educators should refer to the relevant factors ofeffecting humanistic care, formulate the relevant strategy, and strengthen thehumanistic caring ability education of nursing students.2. Humanistic caring ability of nursing students of2ndtier is the best. It shows thatthe influencing factors of humanistic caring ability are related with theireducation tier and self-quality.3. Other influencing factors, such as relationship with parents or classmates andatmosphere in class, play an important role in training nursing students’ ability ofhumanistic care.
