| PurposeThe purpose of this study was to investigate the KAP status of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses and to analyze the factors affecting the KAP level of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses.It will provide a reference for neonatal nasogastric feeding nursing in the future.MethodsThis study refers to the relevant guidelines and literatures,combined with the research purpose,designed the questionnaire about KAP of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses.According to the results of the Delphi expert correspondence experiment,the author modified the questionnaire and verified the reliability and validity.A total of 337 NICU nurses from 7 hospitals in Guangdong,Jiangxi and Hubei provinces were selected for investigation.The database was established using EpiData 3.1,and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0.The test level was set to ?=0.05,which was considered statistically significant when both sides were P<0.05.The counting data were described by frequency and percentage.The measurement data were described by Mean ? Standard deviation.The independent sample t-test,one-way analysis of variance and LSD-t test were used to compare the KAP scores of nasogastric feeding nursing of nurses in NICU with different demographic characteristics.Multiple linear regression was used to find out the influencing factors related to the KAP scores of nasogastric feeding nursing of nurses in NICU.Results1.There are 52 entries in the questionnaire about KAP of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses.The Cronbach's ? coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.93,the half-fold reliability was 0.71,the test-retest reliability was 0.94,and the content validity was 0.98.2.The scores of nasogastric feeding nursing knowledge,attitude and practice of nurses in NICU were 10.29 ? 2.99,34.19 ? 3.37 and 81.90 ? 8.29 respectively.3.The differences scores of nasogastric feeding nursing knowledge in different age,professional title,initial education and employment forms of NICU nurses showed statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The differences scores of nasogastric feeding nursing attitude in different professional title,initial education,highest education,nursing work years and employment forms of NICU nurses showed statistically significant(P<0.05).5.The differences scores of neonatal nasogastric feeding nursing practice in different age,initial education,nursing work years,employment forms and whether or not they had participated in neonatal nasogastric feeding nursing training NICU nurses showed statistically significant(P<0.05).6.The factors influencing the knowledge of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses are the age,professional title,initial education and employment forms.The factors influencing the attitude of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses are the professional title and initial education.The factors influencing the practice of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses are the age,employment forms and whether they had participated in neonatal nasogastric feeding nursing training.Conclusion1.The questionnaire about KAP of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses used in this survey has good reliability and validity.It can effectively measure the status of knowledge,attitude and practice of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses.2.NICU nurses have a good attitude and practice in nasogastric feeding,but the level of knowledge of nasogastric feeding is low.The training of nasogastric feeding nursing training should be carried out regularly to improve the theoretical level of NICU nurses in hospital.3.The factors influencing the knowledge of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses are the age,professional title,initial education,and employment forms.The factors influencing the attitude of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses are the professional title and initial education.The factors influencing the practice of nasogastric feeding nursing of NICU nurses are the age,employment forms and whether they had participated in neonatal nasogastric feeding nursing training.Relevant departments and medical institutions should develop nasogastric feeding nursing knowledge training for NICU nurse with age less than 31 years old,low professional title,low initial academic background,and informal establishment.The intervention of nasogastric feeding nursing attitude should focus on the NICU nurse with low professional title and low initial academic background.Effective interventions on nasogastric feeding nursing practice should be implemented for NICU nurses with age less than 31 years old,informal establishment,and not trained in neonatal nasogastric feeding. |
