Objective:To investigate nasogastric nursing knowledge, attitude and practice of clinical nurses in a Shanghai tertiary-A hospital, and analyze the impact factors among clinical nurses, so as to provide a theoretical basis to improve the level of clinical nurses’knowledge, attitude, practice on nasogastric nursing, to provide a advice for the administrator.Methods:From December2012to February2013, with a method of simple sampling, questionnaires were distributed to340clinical nurses working in a tertiary-A hospitals in Shanghai. The instruments included demographic data form, self-designed inventory of knowledge, attitudes and practice. SPSS16.0package was used for data analysis; statistical methods included descriptive statistics, t test, and variance analysis.Results:(1)The mean score of nasogastric nursing knowledge of clinical nurses in Shanghai tertiary hospitals was40.18±7.90, mean score counted77.27%of total score; The mean score of nasogastric nursing attitude of clinical nurses in Shanghai tertiary hospitals was31.52±6.27, mean score counted87.56%of total score. The mean score of nasogastric nursing behavior of clinical nurses in Shanghai tertiary hospitals was56.94±7.13, mean score counted88.97%of total score.(2) The knowledge scores of nasogastric nursing is significantly different between nurses from different departments, as well as that one-way ANOVA analysis showed that the knowledge scores of nasogastric nursing were significantly different among clinical nurses’age, working years and the professional qualification levels, the attitude and practice scores were not statistically significant.Conclusion:(1) The survey indicated that the cognitive of clinical nasogastric feeding KAP was in the general level. Though nurses have better nasogastric feeding attitude, their nasogastric feeding knowledge and practice should be further improved and enhanced.(2) The main factors which impact on the cognitive of clinical nursing nasogastric feeding KAP scores were department,age,working years, and different professional qualification levels.(3) According to the main factors, hospitals should pay high attention to the professional development of clinical nurses, and create opportunities to help them to succeed。...
