Most project management in software company by now, are risk based project management. The model of risk based project management often takes the risk into consideration too much, which leads to many non-value add process exist in the software development life cycle.Software testing is a great consumer of the human resource, which occupied more than half resource in the software produce. There is no doubt that the high cost of human resource in software testing part is a big pain point of the software company, and it is also harm to the company’s competitiveness in the market.Due to the issue above, most software companies is looking for an improvement methodology which can improve the software testing progress, which can low down the cost of testing. Lean Six Sigma, which is considered to be the most efficient and fastest way to perform the improvement in the industry company. In this paper, it is used a real software testing project of a certain company, to identify the possibility and efficiency of the combination of Lean and Six Sigma into one. All these are based on the real statistical data and it is also shown it is verification result by statistical tools, making the purpose of cost saving to be shown in front of the audience. During the sample showing, it is used the Lean Six Sigma as the main track to perform the improvement plan, which should be a meaningful example for the software testing domain.
