Six Sigma is an advanced quality management method, focus on continuous improvement of business processes, customer satisfaction, and adhere to quality by optimizing the processing than by strict testing to achieve the final quality control. By using a series of standardized methods and professional tools focus on reducing the number of defective products and processes to eliminate non-value activity, improve product quality, reduce production costs and shorten the production cycle. Adopting Six Sigma process improvement puts in place a continual process improvement methodology at all levels of an organization. Once Six Sigma is embedded in a corporate culture, the business processes will continue to improve. Furthermore, new problems will be quickly identified and corrected due to the close monitoring Six Sigma entails.DT is a company specialized in communications operations support systems software(BOSS system) development and provision of telecommunications operational support of the overall solution and medium-sized enterprises. In recent years, telecom operation support software has been diffused within a market, operators of information systems increasingly strict by investment control; on the other hand, telecom operators to further enhance customer service management awareness of deep integration under the ICT industry background, operations support systems software more and more high quality demanded. DT Company with many businesses facing the challenge to further improve product quality, reduce production costs, enhance customer satisfaction, maintain the competitive advantage of innovation.The main project of this thesis discusses the improvement of DT's research and development process, using Six Sigma DMAIC process improvement thought and theory models of Six Sigma tools for defects existing development processes, identify how to eliminate bottlenecks DT R & D process, achieve R & D efficiency and improve performance, and ultimately enhance the market competitiveness and increase the company profits. The first chapter describes the internal and external environment company's current DT by analyzing the company's current issues. We pointed out the optimizing development process is the core solution. The second chapter is summary by the using Six Sigma methods and tools. The third chapter is DT R & D process and improve the status quo problems were analyzed to determine the direction and goals for improvement. Chapter IV using Six Sigma DMAIC methodology to identify research and development process efficiency is not high fundamental constraints to solve the problems, the implementation of specific projects to improve the development process. Finally, according to the Six Sigma method to establish a series of methods to ensure the improvement of the efficient and effective implementation of the project.The improvement case of DT's R & D process is to verify that Six Sigma management software Enterprises are not only feasible but also very effective. The DT product line delivery period is 2 week earlier as scheduled. R & D process also increased productivity by 33.8 percent; decrease quality defects rate to 0.55 percent / person/months. These achievements provide a good reference and empirical support to company's future growth. The project was successful in identifying opportunities to improve overall organization efficiency for DT.
