Book wrapping packer is a kind of new packaging machinery used in the bookpile automatic wrapping and strapping which has a series of advantages such as highefficiency and less human intervention. As it satisfy the great needed of bookspacking in modern books logistics center, such as Xinhua bookstores and large-scalebook printing, it shows great application potential in the fields of modern bookslogistics distribution packaging and transportation. This thesis is focused on balersstructural systems design techniques and it’s optimization methods. The followingwork is completed primarily:First of all, it is proposed a fully automated book-packer operating principle andpackaging process, in which multiple functions including books pile automatichandling, wrapping paper automatic transmission, automatic wrapping and bundlingare combined. The design projects of the overall structure and its technicalimplementation of each functional unit are complished. Meanwhile, its work cycle ofthe book-packer is described, and for balers main structure of the transmission systemdesign, the dangerous position, key components and critical structures in the systemstructure are described in the paper.Then, a research on the balers’ virtual prototype on construction techniques andmethods are conducted. On the basis of the establishment of a virtual prototype of thebaler, and through the motion analysis test of the prototype, the test results show thatthe packer system does not exist the movement interference and other issues. And thekey technical parameters of the baler system have been drawn up and the maindimensions of the system core components have been identified. At the same time, thepacker’s more reasonable structure size and location of the relationship are got.Besides, in order to ensure the strength and stiffness of the baler system, aanalysis on the stress and deformation of its key components and structures are carriedout, moreover, to ensure the good vibration stability of the system, a focus on thevibration modes of the structure is calculated, the results show that the pushing mechanism and other transmission components do not occur the resonancephenomenon. Furthermore, for the purpose of providing a reference for the structuraldynamics design, the transient response characteristics of the linkage of the push bookis analyzed.Last but not least, based on the theory of multi-rigid body kinematics anddynamics, the movement rule of pushing mechanism’s groove cam, eccentric angularcam mechanism and other key non-uniform motion parts is studied. In order toprovide a basis for the performance optimization of the baler, a simulation for it’smain drive system dynamics is done. The results show that axis components of criticalpower are no deformation in the case of limit speed basic, besides, the relationshipbetween the driving force of system and the groove camshaft suffered contact torquewhich has a good sinusoidal variation in the movement cycle, and then, each of theexecutive components meet the design requirements of the process actions. Inaddition, the groove cam of pushing book mechanism exists velocity and accelerationcusp, which indicate the velocity and acceleration curve are not continuous and haverigid impact. Accordingly, some necessary improvement and optimization for theoriginal structure are done, the structural optimization program is obtained and so on.
