This paper focused on American bestsellers, from 2000 to 2009, and analyzed 4 parts, included works, authors, publishing houses and the American bestsellers of Chinese versions.According to the statistics from"Publishers Weekly", every week it has top 100 hardcover fictions. The book rank 1 gets 10 scores, and the book rank 10 gets 1 scores. According to this rule, we can get scores of each book and other information about American bestsellers.In the research of the classification of bestsellers, the top 100 bestsellers are classified by categories in Amazon's website. Using mystery and thriller fictions as an example to explain what the readers'interests are.In the part 3, there are tow points. One is the top 5 authors who have highest scores. The other is the top 5 authors who have the greatest number of bestsellers. Researching the age of top 100 bestsellers'author, it has some laws and tendency. By contrast, it's easy to find 4 different kinds of authors.In the reaching of publishing houses, there are two parts. One is the information about five most popular publishing houses, and the other is about top 5 publishing groups.According to the statistics of American bestsellers of Chinese versions, analyses the market of these Chinese versions, and concludes the problems of these books. Using"Da Vin Ci Code"as an example to explain how these books make influence on domestic market.
