A Communication Research On The Fan-fiction Creation Of Animation

With the development of online media and scientific technology, the development ofanimation and game is increasingly rapidly. These virtual characters get recognized by a lotof Internet users, especially the youth Internet users. They worship and love them as theiridols, which results a kind of small minority culture-"fan-fiction culture". Fans are peoplewith similar interests, also known as enthusiasts. However, its conception is developedgradually and is now more often referred as the second works created by fans on thesevirtual characters. The work of fan-fiction is the most important part of "fan-fictionculture". It can be said that the vast majority activities of fans is about fan-fiction work. Itis the work of fan-fiction that makes the continuation of the favourite for the original idol.Precisely because of this, the work of fan-fiction of animation has affected the industrialdevelopment of its peripheral products, the network media culture, and the aesthetic of theyounger generation. In this study, the phenomena of the fast spread of the works offan-fiction of animation is selected as the starting point of thinking, while observation andother methods are chosen to analyze the propagation of these fan-fiction work. In the entirecommunication process, the population of animation and fan-fiction plays a dominant role.They create the work of fan-fiction because of their own favorite, and communicate withthe population of fan-fiction. Although this kind of communication activities appears to bea small minority, they are indeed very active in the big environment of the circle offan-fiction. They are creativity and sensitive, seemingly loose but with a strict andconsistent sense of community. They interpret the fan-fiction work and then conduct thesecondary transmission in order to share the feelings of their own favorite with morepeople. This communication is sometimes unconscious, which also affects the animationindustry and its development. The development of the network channels, which is thenexploited by fans, plays a key role in the entire communication process. Fans establish asmall minority of the circle of fan-fiction by freely using the QQ group, various forums, Baidu post bar and so on. These standardize the order of the circle on the one hand andallow fans to enjoy the "Meng" and create fan-fiction work on the other. Fans areultimately self-satisfied and have made a certain impact to the outside world, including theanimation industry. This study also found that the cultural creativity of the fans is growing,and many original creative work has been published by the fan-fiction authors. They arenow dissatisfied with the current constructed culture, and trying to expand the right tospeak against the cultural hegemony. How to guide and regulate these kinds of forcesrequires a in-depth discussion so as to realize the common development with themainstream culture.
