The competition of Publishing Industry is so enormous that the amount of the annual publications in China is up to more than 178.4 thousands. More and more publishers came to realize that to build up advanced publishing industry, the economical factor and the set up of name band must be emphasized though the social influence because it's a basic factor to be considered. With the development of Chinese Publishing Industry, they have realized that manipulation of Bestseller that is the most important means to reach this aim. The Bestseller means not only profits but also reputation for the author and a new name band for the publishing company, which may stimulate a rise of the book market; so the culture of Bestseller is attracting more and more attention from bookmakers.The operation of the Bestseller is the criterion to judge whether the bookman system is mature. Today the Bestseller system has been fully developed in west, while the 'Bestseller system' just sprouts in China for the reason of the different history and culture. However, Chinese publishers have walked out the most important step to learn and practice, and they have made considerable achievements.In this paper, the mechanism of the appearance of the Bestseller is studied, the development trend of the Bestseller in China is analyzed, and the method of the Bestseller management is discussed in detail. As viewed from Communication, Psychology, Economics and Marketing, all these researches are discussed on the basis of a large amount of the cases of the international Bestseller operation, considering the present condition of the Publishing Industry in China.In the first chapter of this paper the concept of Bestseller is introduced, and why Bestseller comes out and the signification of Bestseller are discussed.In Chapter 2, which is the central part, how to successfully operate the Bestseller is narrated. Chapter 3 analyzed two typical examples, which represent native and foreign affairs apart basing on the theory presented in chapter 2. The last part makes a conclusion.
