ObjectiveIt was through understanding the conditions of moral cognition and its influencing factors of nursing students at different levels,to provide the basis for enforcing the actual-effect of moral teaching.Through exploring mutual relations between the level of moral cognition and professional attitude,further closely the moral and professional education. It was conducive to a positive professional attitude of nursing students, to ease the growing tension in the doctor-patient, nurse-patient relationship and improve the quality of care, and promote the development of nursing science.MethodsBase on Kohlberg's the dilemma method,We tested the nursing students'moral cognition conditions by means of reading story; and we tested the nursing students'professional attitude conditions by means of Arthur's Nursing Professional Self-Concept questionnaire.Results1. The survey shows that there are fluctuations of the competence of moral cognition in secondary,college and undergraduate nursing students; the competence of moral cognition of secondary nursing students in lower level than that of college and undergraduate nursing students. It also shows that there is not obvious difference of moral cognition between college nursing students and undergraduate nursing students.2. There is obvious difference of moral cognition of nursing students at different academic levels. There is not obvious difference among the students in different economic conditions, different source of students, Parents of different education of nursing students. There was no difference analysis of different gender, whether or not from one–child family,the religious beliefs of nursing students.3. There is obvious difference of professional attitude of nursing students at different levels. The professional attitude of Undergraduate nursing students is more positive than that of college nursing students, the professional attitude of college nursing students is more positive than that of secondary nursing students.4. In the two sub-projects about Leadership and satisfaction, the score of undergraduate nursing students is higher than that of college nursing students, the score of college nursing students is higher than that of secondary nursing students. In the three sub-projects about flexibility, skills and communication, the score of secondary nursing students is lower than that of college and undergraduate nursing students, there is not obvious difference of the three sub-projects between college nursing students and undergraduate nursing students.5. There is a positive correlation between the competence of moral cognition and professional attitude of nursing students.ConclusionRaising the level of moral cognition is conducive to a positive professional attitude, in the process of nursing practice enhance the moral cognition of nursing students, moral education and professional education to complement each other.
