| As of 2019,the inbound tourism market in China has maintained a recovery and growth since 2015,and the market structure is increasingly optimized. The COVID-19 interrupted the original upward trend of inbound tourism. With the relaxation of epidemic prevention and control, the current resumption of inbound tourism has officially begun.Resilience is becoming an important element in promoting regional economic growth, which can drive a new round of systematic updates and more efficient industrial activities. This article explores the impact of economic resilience in inbound tourism on the efficiency of inbound tourism from the perspective of resilience.By constructing a resilience and efficiency system for inbound tourism economy, entropy method and DEA method are used to measure the resilience and efficiency levels of inbound tourism economy in 31 provinces and cities in China(excluding Hong Kong,Macao, and Taiwan regions)from 2010 to2019,and a spatiotemporal pattern analysis is conducted. Finally,a spatial Durbin model is constructed to examine the spatial impact of inbound tourism economic resilience on inbound tourism efficiency, and suggestions are proposed to promote the growth of inbound tourism efficiency. The research conclusions are as follows:(1)During the research period, the overall development of China’s inbound tourism economic resilience has been improving, showing an upward trend, while high resilience areas have shown a gradually decreasing distribution pattern from east to west.At the same time, the resilience of China’s inbound tourism economy exhibits a positive spatial agglomeration feature, with the radiation effect of high high altitude areas and the diffusion effect of low altitude areas narrowing, and the polarization effect of high altitude areas and the hollow effect of low altitude areas strengthening.(2)The overall trend of the development of inbound tourism economic resilience is stable, and the strong resilience areas in the country are roughly in a "D" shaped spatial pattern; The resilience shows a U-shaped trend of first decreasing and then increasing, with strong resilience areas concentrated in the eastern coastal areas; The updating power has shown a continuous fluctuation trend over the past decade, but the overall improvement is relatively small, and the phenomenon of spatial north-south polarization is obvious.(3)The economic efficiency of inbound tourism is low, with small fluctuations, and significant differences among regions.Under the condition of variable returns to scale, most regions in China are at the stage of increasing returns to scale.(4)Through the decomposition of spatial econometric model effects,it was found that the resilience of inbound tourism economy, the agglomeration degree of inbound tourism industry, the level of informatization, the status of inbound tourism industry, ecological environment, and transportation accessibility can directly drive the improvement of inbound tourism economic efficiency in this region.Traffic accessibility has a positive impact on the economic efficiency of inbound tourism in adjacent areas; The economic resilience of inbound tourism, the agglomeration degree of inbound tourism industry, the ecological environment, and the status of inbound tourism industry have a certain negative impact on the economic efficiency of inbound tourism in adjacent regions. |
