Economic resilience refers to the adaptability of a country or region to deal with external shocks, which is mainly reflected in controlling large-scale economic fluctuations through relevant financial means when the country’s economy is changed or severely damaged.Inbound tourism is a highly sensitive industry, which is vulnerable to the impact of internal and external shocks, showing the characteristics of fluctuation and strong uncertainty. In order to strengthen the development resilience of China’s inbound tourism, thesis will introduce the concept of "resilience" originated in the field of ecology, and open up new ideas for the government to formulate inbound tourism development policies through the research on the economic resilience of inbound tourism.Taking the Yangtze River Economic Belt as the main research object, combining domestic and foreign economic resilience research theories, using relevant research methods and evaluation systems, taking inbound tourism foreign exchange earnings as the main indicator, and based on the measurement method of regional economic resilience. This thesis evaluates the economic resilience of inbound tourism in 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2005 to 2019 and analyzes its temporal and spatial evolution. The results show that:(1)On the overall level, the economic resilience of inbound tourism in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has declined as a whole, with the fastest decline in the period of 2012-2013,and a slow recovery in the subsequent period;(2)At the regional level, the economic resilience of inbound tourism in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the three major regions fluctuates greatly, relatively speaking, the economic resilience of inbound tourism in the middle reaches is relatively strong, the upstream areas show a fluctuating upward trend, and the economic resilience of inbound tourism in the downstream areas is more fragile;(3)At the provincial level, the regional economic resilience of inbound tourism fluctuates similarly.Four years of 2005,2010,2015 and 2019 were selected, and the economic resilience of inbound tourism in the Yangtze River Economic Belt was divided into four categories by using spatial differentiation analysis in Acr GIS.The results showed that the economic resilience distribution of the Yangtze River Economic Belt showed an uneven distribution State,high-level economic resilience is mainly distributed in underdeveloped provinces and cities,high-level economic resilience is mainly distributed in several provinces and cities in the middle reaches, and low-level inbound tourism economic resilience cities are less after2015,mainly in the Sichuan Province;Low-level inbound tourism economic resilience zones are mainly manifested in coastal metropolises, such as Shanghai,or cities with weak economic development, such as Guizhou Province.Using methods such as spatial autocorrelation and spatial hot-spot analysis, this thesis studies whether inbound tourism in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has correlations and the analysis of hot-spots.The results are as follows:(1)The spatial autocorrelation of inbound tourism economic resilience among provinces in the Yangtze River economic belt from 2005 to 2019 is weak;(2)From 2005 to 2019,the spatial agglomeration of regional economic resilience of inbound tourism is still obvious. The hot spots are mainly concentrated in the central provinces of the Yangtze River economic belt,Hunan Province,Hubei Province and Jiangxi Province, and the scope is constantly shrinking;(3)Cold spot areas are mainly distributed in Shanghai and various provinces and cities in the west, and the scope of the study is significantly reduced.Based on the existing problems. Finally, according to the calculation results of inbound tourism economic toughness, combined with the analysis of spatial pattern evolution and spatial cold and hot spot results, and under the analysis results of the influencing factors of inbound tourism economic toughness, this thesis puts forward the improvement strategies of inbound tourism economic toughness from the overall and regional aspects.
